Well, for those of you SD members that are "Forum" Watchers & have read my quest for Dry.Here is my 1st experience with Dry.And to those of you "experienced Dry Divers,I salute you.I truly think the Pinnacle Evolution is a great suit. However, just when I had my bouyancy under control,I had to start all over, with Dry.I now know what a piece of meat feels like being shrink wrapped. Also, the best ride was the upsidedown acent.I almost had it on the 2nd experience. It's trying to master the roll over and blast your release valve, all at the same time, thats tricky. After the 3rd shot, without, trying to sound like I'm whining, my ears needed a break.Between feeling like a Michealan man and a Doughboy. With the additional weight and juggle the bouyancy ,its another "world alright".
With the weather yesterday being on the rainy and stormy side as the day progressed.I'll have to return for another practice, practice. The Location was at Pearl Lake, near Rockford.Visibilty at best was 15',temp at 30' was around 40 F.At least I didn't feel cold, for a change. Its back to the beginging.I posted my Wanted or Needs help picture ,as a warning to those that recognize me on the street.....

Yeah, it adds complication and task loading. But once you get the hang of it, I far prefer it to the heavy loading of neoprene as an alternative diving wet. I started with a class, first starting in the pool and then 4 dives.

All I can say is, the more you dive dry, the easier it will become. It is like starting over.

Glad to see you went for a shoulder dump, and not one of those wrist things.

Thanks ,To all of you!!!
George,I know I'll have to practice.PATIENCE is what I need a large spoon full of...The future ,I think will be remembering my weight changes from Dry to Wet in the Ocean. As I really have not had a problem with my 3mm,on temp or the weight.

Stan,I think it might be my Octo in the location you described.Otherwise My arrangement of my stuff had gotten a little out of line with just getting out of my inverted accent..Thanks for the compliment. The one thing you may have also noticed ,I've got my red DAN tags on most of my gear.

And Peter thank you.Yes,I'm glad I got the Pinnacle.Someday I hope I can meet you all.I firmly believe this site a great bunch of GOOD Diving people and a close community of whether it is a online friendship or in person.
The one thing that did surprise me is I didn't have to.......,not this time anyway.
Cheers!!

Congrats on the dry suit cert! it looks great! In a couple dives in it it will seem like second nature. One thing I've found is I take notes of the weight I use and the underwear I have on and make adjustments accordingly. You are going to love diving dry when the water is cool. Again Greg the suit looks great!

Each wreck has a tale to tell about its life and its demise.

If you are observant while diving in dark places listen to the account each has to tell, You cannot come away unaffected.
