Yikes hard question..the suede takes up less room. The suede is slightly softer. The terry is more like a towel and also provides warmth against the breeze better. And I think it is a bit bigger. I can bring some of both...however if it helps I am now out of the xl Terry AND brown suede size lg. kamala
