Question: how do travelers in car trips pass the time? Answer: singing.



Their favorite road song: “On the Road Again," by Willie Nelson, of course.



This tidbit comes from the Pioneer Electronics’ mobile division first-ever “Favorite Road Trips Songs” poll, done in conjunction with Harris Interactive.



Willie’s classic song was followed closely by other classic rock titles like, Kiss’ “I Wanna Rock and Roll All Night,” Steppenwolf’s “Born to be Wild,” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird.”

I never heard of "On the road again", but it sounds like something I have sung with friends for years.

I always liked "East Bound and Down" by Jerry Reed from "Smokey and the Bandit". When I hear it in the car, I have to "put the pedal to the metal!!"

While I will definitely bow to King Willie and "On the Road Again", I can't believe no one even mentioned that hot new title "Ride" by Pup Morse... that is a GREAT road song! Haven't heard it yet... hmmm... here's a short video clip from a live show.

Still not convinced, huh? How about this song... "Who's Sufferin' Tonight"... this was even co-written by one of the other SD members and is my first full length professional video.

Yep, I know exactly what song you are talking about, the title is "Highway Junkie" and the artist is Chris Knight. The first time I heard it was on the soundtrack for a trucker movie named "Black Dog" that starred Patrick Swayze and Randy Travis, if I remember correctly. That is another great road song for sure!
