I'm all for the new and improved 2011 Nutrition and Fitness Challenge! Go for it. Could you build it a week at a time? OR even in bi-monthly installments?
This year:
1. Simplify my life. Turn over my corporate and personal taxes to a professional, sell the boat and truck, and some smaller things like cleaning out each room and getting rid of things I don't need.
2. RAGBRAI - one week of biking averaging 80 miles a day. Not a race, I don't have to be fast, I just want to finish. Prep will include many miles of 'training' and some local events to get used to group riding.
3. Eat healthier - I really like a lot of Jackie Warner's plan. She seems kind of annoying but I agree with much of what she suggests.
4. A motorcycle adventure - a couple long weekends or a week. I didn't go last summer. The year before we did a great ride up the North Shore of Superior, back through Canada. It was beautiful and a wonderful adventure.
5. Meditate. Mind health...

Lynn those are GREAT resolutions! And I plan to start the Health and Fitness Challenge for Feb as I must stay focused on getting 2011 trips posted this month!
By stating our goals we are statistically destined for greater success than those who do not write them down. Plus we will help each other as a support network.
I will be challenging people to have a variety of goals for the new year! I don't want to be the only one on the journey of improvement!

I have not given up, but progress is slow. I find that I need a new method of motivation......and am working on that!
