My favorite saying is very similar: Success is the best revenge. There is nothing evil about Fred. What this shows me is validation that everything works out the way it is supposed to in the end even though we can't possibly know why or how and that universal law is always at work. I've been through some very tough times, and I know that if I just do the next right thing, everything else will (have to) fall where it may.
