Do not put the batteries in your carry on. Returning from Cozumel. I was over weight by 3 lb.s so In in the Check ,on floor took ,batteries and put in my carry on, they watched me I had lots of extra batteries,Put in my carry on and camera bag.All I have left to do is get my toenails painted like a dive flag and throw in a couple of bathing suits. I haven't weighed my bag yet.....
If it's too heavy, I'll just pull out all my batteries and put them in my carry-on. I padded my wine real good and then put it in a zip-lock bag.
Went thu the scurity scan, they pulled me aside and made me put them in my carry on and check it.. So they do not allow batteries in the carry on....

Just a quick note to wish you all a great and safe trip. I am sure the diving will be outstanding. Have a blast, and take lost of pictures... We'll be anxiously awaiting the trip report.
