I've hesitated asking for prayers for my aunt when I hear of what seems much worse circumstances, but I went over to the hospital this morning to see my aunt and they're giving her two more units of blood so she will have had six total. It is hoped this along with medicine for an ulcer they found will get her blood count back to normal. She went in on Thursday morning in really bad shape and looks better now but her blood pressure is quite low so they need to give her this blood. I really appreciate any prayers.

I hope that your Aunt pulls through. Fingers are crossed, and I'm throwing it out to the universe that the treatment she is receiving works very soon and you can stop worrying. Hang in there!

As I sit with Aunt watching her rest/heal I am so thankful that you reached out...you know how I feel about the POWER of this AMAZING community...they are greatly responsible for the miracles I've witnessed personally with my own Aunt and with others.

I have already been praying for your Aunt and will continue to do so. I know how special she is to you and therefore to us. You and your Aunt are in my prayers and daily thoughts. Kamala

Thanks everyone for your prayers and kind thoughts. I saw my aunt tonight and she seems to have more color in her face than she has had, but she is still being monitored and continues her stay in the hospital. I am hopeful she will be able to leave the hospital soon.

Yup, I've been praying a lot too. Glad you got to see her. Know that she is getting good care and being monitored in the hospital, and hope she is able to go back home soon. "There's no place like home! There's no place like home!"

Thank you ALL! A quick update before I nod off completely (have been falling asleep as I type), my aunt is continuing to do well and if her blood count stays up through morning she will likely be released tomorrow. I am so grateful for your prayers. And while home will not be so familiar as we had just moved her into an assisted living community, I am hopeful she will be able to go there and begin to settle in to her new life.

I wish I could say she was released today, but apparently there is a reason for her to stay in the hospital right now. My aunt's legs have swollen and there are some tests being run to check for blood clots. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Thank you all.

UPDATE THIS EVENING:

Unfortunately, they found a small clot but fortunately they are trying to flush it out with medication. Please pray that the medication works and that her spirits stay up, she was really hoping to leave the hospital today, the days are getting long for her. Thanks everyone.
