Need some advice from other SDs who have been to Hawaii. Where are favorite places to dive? Recommendations on a good dive shop, starting on Oahu. Anyone?:diver:

I don't know about Oahu, but the Big Island has an amazing dive shop, Kona Diving Company. The boat is fantastic (great brownies, hot soup and cocoa, sandwich wraps, hot water to rinse off, lots of room out of the wind), the crew and divemasters are super professional, and you can dive your own profile. Kerry is amazing, she really knows the local ecosystem/fish/secret spots and made our trip special. David was also so professional and loves his work. Kona has a night dive with giant manta rays that is not to be missed, especially Katie's pre-dive talk with the puppet manta ray. ;^) Seriously, I friended my divemasters on facebook, which is not something I'd do normally.
