Can you edit a video clip you've taken using your combo digital camera/video setup? Is it contingent on the camera (in my case a Panasonic LX5) or is it contingent on the editing program?

And is there such a thing as VIDEO EDITING FOR DUMMIES???

Are you recording in AVCHD or MPG ?

You may need to convert the format before editing, depending on what editor you would like to use.

My camera records in both. Supposedly the jpeg is better for computer and the AVCHD is better for tv viewing???

The latter format allows you to record longer amts without shutting off. How hard is it to edit compared to Jpeg/mpeg?
