Dan,Based off what i have heard about post merger United is its a Charlie Foxtrot galore with no end insight due to the "Shares" operations/ticketing system that makes saber look like masterpiece.
first off, it's SABRE, an acronym; second, don't disparage a system that you've never used yourself; SABRE is quite a huge system and works very well, especially considering how many transactions per second it can handle without a flinch. Frankly, SABRE is a masterpiece.

Dang auto-correct bites again, I stand corrected. I have no complaints with AA's system as most I've ever had to wait to get a ticket modified was 5 mins. Many reports (Flyertalk, milepoint and other boards) saying that even simple stand by on a earlier flight is taking 30 plus mins after the merger systems integration on 3/3.

if I'm not mistaken, UA used Apollo before the merger and now use Shares that CO developed. It could be as much as learning a new system or that Shares is now taking alot more traffic than it used to. Or it could also be that Shares doesn't have an automated way to reissue tickets like AA does (which is a project I worked on over 10 years ago)Dang auto-correct bites again, I stand corrected.
