Hey gang...my temp crown popped off and the dentist had to work me in which was 1 hr each way of driving and another 2 hrs in the dentist office waiting. I was able to do a bit of wifi access and respond to a few posts and emails. Upon getting home I discovered that instead of leaving my phone at home...it was left in the driveway and promptly run over. So now its back to town to get a new phone. So I wont' be back online for another 3-4 hrs depending on how long it takes to replace the phone and take care of a few errands I was putting off until next week.

Thank you all...living in remote south nowhere SC has its disadvantages at times...this is one of them.

My phone lost all but 64 of its contacts... YIKES!!! So much for the back up feature supposedly on the phone.

I did get the errands run and I'm back in the office/home. I leave for our Mexico trips next Friday so I really have a ton of stuff to do to play catch up and *hopefully* get the permanent crown of before my trip.

I was going to get my hair done but it will have to wait...can't spend the time nor money after my phone fiasco.

In any event... I'm due for some good news anytime now but at least I have the support of some amazing friends and a little SD who has been working with me behind the scenes on photo tips which I am taking to heart and will be apply on my next trip. &

At least I have that going for me...so back to work...just wanted to check in and let you know how the ongoing saga is rolling out!

K amala, I know about Dentist visit's. in 2011`` I spent $$$$ and time. I wish I could've had flyer miles with him...
As for your phone contacts..And I'd be the 1st to admit I'm not a tech person..Have you thought of putting them on or in another device or like Dropbox?

In theory...the numbers are saved to a chip... but I have to execute some commands to do that. So I have to save everything say once a week if I continuously add numbers. I laughed when the girl said I could reenter my numbers and then save them. And she is right...I could if I knew them...i've been collecting them in the phone for the past 2 years....

So I guess the solution is for EVERYONE I know to call me so I can get your number back into my phone!


...er.... maybe that should be revised to everyone send me your tel# so I can enter it again...I'd spend the next week+ just answering the phone otherwise!

Bill and I have been making some serious down payments and progress payments on whatever our Dentist's expensive hobby is... unfortunately is it NOT scubadiving and we've tried!
