SAVE THE DATES...

For the Denver Dive Show Sept 28-29, 2012 at

Where:

Crowne Plaza Hotel - downtown Denver
450 Glenarm Place
Denver, CO 80202

Times:

Friday- The show is open for vendor set up starting at noon on Friday the 28th and starts at 5 or 6pm that evening until 9pm.

Saturday- Usually the times are 9am until 5/6pm.



THOSE INTERESTED IN DOING OUR ANNUAL DENVER SHOW HAPPY HOUR SATURDAY SEPT 29th:

1. Kamala aka WreckWench (WE NEED IDEAS FOR WHERE TO HOLD THE HAPPY HOUR)

2. Kathy aka Little Mermaid -(Suggest Yardhouse for HH)

Wow, stayed there a couple of times, but didn't realize they had much convention space. Its about 2 blocks from where it was last year. Hotel parking is very limited, but there is a lot across the street.

About two blocks north of there is Denver Pavillions, that has a lucky strike and Coyote Ugly if you wanted to do happy hour downtown. If you want something a little more local and out of the way, just past that on GlenArm is Bayou Bobs, that would work well on a Saturday.

At this point put me down for Friday night.

They were looking a new venue but were having problems so switched to this one. Where is the place we went to last year that had some exotic mushroom fries that were to die for... THAT would be a great Happy Hour place!

Hi Kamala, that's a nice place. The place with the fries was the Yardhouse, conventiently closeby. Count me for Firday and Sat. and you are more than welcome to stay with me. It's about 15 minutes from the house.!!! Let me know your arrangements!!!

Perfect! I need to save every penny I can... I think I can do the ticket on miles, and if stay with you then I only pay for the booth and electricity at the booth.

Thank you for the invite...I'd love to stay with you as I usually stay with Heidi but she is moving soon! And for the help...with Heidi leaving Denver soon we'll need all the help we can get at the show! kamala

I assume you are talking about Truffle Fries with Paramsean Cheese. Yeah, they are very good at Yardhouse.

Its at 16th and Tremont. Within walking distance of the Crown Plaza.

YES that is them.... they are to die for so we'll either do dinner on Friday there after the show or our Happy Hour on Saturday after we break down.

OR


We could do the HH on Friday after the Show and Dinner on Saturday after breaking down. George can you one do Friday right now? I would hate for you to miss out on the socializing part!!!

Of course you know I'm a fan of 'walking' wherever possible to save on parking as in if you've paid to park once leave it that way and/or walk around until its time to go home.

So having said that...the YardHouse is a for sure for one night as they had Happy Hour pricing but not sure if they do HH on Saturday and when we are done Friday it will be too late for regular HH... so of the places you mentioned any one of them stand out a bit more than the others and are they also walking distance?

Not sure on Happy Hours on Saturdays. And I can probably make a post convention happy hour on Saturday, just can't commit to spending both Friday night and all day Saturday at the show due to work considerations for that time of year right now.
