IMPORTANT LUGGAGE UPDATE:

After many calls to AA (American Airlines) and our trip experiences in May we have confirmed that Dominica is NOW weight restricting all flights in and our of the island.

Here are the NEW LIMITS:

1. (1) 50# bag or (2) bags totaling no more than 70# total.
2. I can find no restrictions on hand carry other than the normal (1) personal item and (1) carry on which will be gate checked on the AA Eagle Flight from SJU to DOM and back.
3. The 70# limit applies to all economy class tickets AND first class tickets even those who flew in first or business class to SJU.
4. No over weight bags are allowed and no over limit fees will be accepted.

So basically NO ONE IS EXEMPT from the total of 70# IF you are checking 2 bags or 50# if you are checking 1 bag.

AA or anyone who gets to SJU early in the am and then you fly from SJU on DOM via AA.

However you can fly via LIAT and get there in one day and that opens up other options. I think you route via Aruba then Aruba to Dominica via LIAT.

I've got my flight...arriving Sat. Nov 17 but leaving Mon. Nov 26. I think I will need two extra nights at the end. Overnights in SJU for Nov 16 and 26 but booked room to small to share (at Tres Palmas Inn -- looks decent and reasonable, close to water and quiet).

I got your booking template from the payment you sent through the electronic gateway and I'll post it below. The accounting people will let me know when your payment goes through and I'll post it also here in the trip thread.

Hi Nancy... we do ask our members to post their booking templates in the thread like Clint did as an example. It ensures that we know what you want and you can come back and make tweaks via new posts as you need or want too. We will then take your updates and update our MASTER which is in the 3rd post. By doing this we have a true timestamp of when you signed up...(important if we something can fill up or there is a deadline) but most importantly we have everything coming to a central location. And while we can capture info from your emails or payments...we are more likely to make a mistake or miss something so we ask that you learn to post in the threads which is for now our "booking system". And yes we hope to have a more automated booking system soon but for now this is how we do it!
