And so it begins.... *cue ominous Jaws theme*

Good news, the weather appears to be cooperating with Cayman Brac for the foreseeable future (read: next few days). I'm sure it will be fantastic!

All finally made it, are now well fed and snoring in their rooms. Water temps are 85F at 70 ft according to shadragon, who arrived a day early. We'll be on the boat at 8am Saturday, to find out for ourselves!

Roving reporters we are not...but several had massive flight delays including near acts of God to make connections into Miami to make their flights or in my case... Grand Cayman so I could fly jump seat if necessary on Cayman Air. Fortunately I made it all the way to CB far earlier than I thought...(they told me Sunday and I made it by 5pm on Saturday after starting at 4am in GSP, SC to begin with.

But like Tammy said we all made it. The the island is small but very pretty. The resort is lovely as it was totally rebuilt a few years ago after being destroyed by a hurricane. The food has been extremely good and fresh with lots of variety and the lionfish have been minimal but still intrusive. :tears:

We got the first day of diving done which was the obligatory see how the divers do sites... had our Beer wars (where people brought beer samples from home or iced wine in one case and then the others tried them.) It was an absolute blast and success but some of us missed the action arriving so late. :(

Today we have a slightly later departure time and people are settling out and settling in.... upcoming is our day trip to Little Cayman and a fabulous night dive and a bonus day of diving on Friday as part of the pkg! :cool1:

More later...its breakfast time! :teeth:

p,s. Did I mention that the water was 87 degrees? Well I only got 84 and 85 but its nice and warm no matter what! ;)

Having a great time in Cayman Brac! One boat did the Tibbets wreck dive today and the other went to Little Cayman. Both boats came back with good reviews.

Food and weather has both been great. Had some rain today about 2pm and stopped 5 min later. Seas may come up this evening for a while and we'll have to see if the night dive is on or postponed to Thurs.

More to come... :wakawaka:  :teeth:

Night dive went off without a hitch. Lobster, crab, squid were some highlights... even a couple octopus were spotted.

Hoping it stays the same as YOU head to Little Cayman today!!! The storm activity has stirred up the wave action a bit and the seas have been a bit sloppy but NOTHING too bad and certainly better than last week or the alternatives! ;)
