So I've started recording my dives with a ProPlus 2.1 from Oceanic but I'm only about 10 dives in with it and the software is awful. I'm getting frustrated with some of the ways that it records the data and some of the delays that occur in the software while editing the dive log. So based on this I searched for some alternates and I figured there would have to be some great alternatives that I could import my oceanic logs into. I've only managed to find one that I think might be an alternative (other than a basic excel spreadsheet). I should also mention that I plan on still maintaining a paper log in detail as well. All comments and other real good information about the dives will likely be in the paper copy. The digital log will mostly be to keep track of statistics in diving over the course of diving.

So this was one alternative that I found that seems to be reasonable. It seems to use a MS Access Database so at least the DB is not in a super proprietary format.

I also found another program but it's horrible and won't even run on Win 7 64bit without constant errors and issues. This is a definite no. The website also looks like they might have given up on the software so not an option. I'm listing it just in case someone finds it as an alternative. I've already looked at this.

Any information would be helpful.
