A Few More Bug Repellant for a Good Cause Updates:

1. Product Distribution: Greg has graciously agreed to carry the product with him in his luggage but rather then trying to track everyone down...he will distribute it to people at our first dinner.

2. Payment: Please bring cash to cover your *donation* of $5 in lieu of purchasing your product which will be donated to the cause that the manufacturer supports aka the island's Marine Park Reef Preservation fund. You can choose to direct the monies that you are donating in addition to the $5 product price to either the same organization or the second charity that Greg mentioned in the first post.

TO KEEP THINGS SIMPLE....May I suggest that we direct all our contributions to the same organization i.e. the Marine Park Reef Preservation fund.

3. DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS TO THE CHARITY: The last day of the trip is usually our non-diving day and a PERFECT day to go and donate the funds collected to the charitable organization i.e. the Marine Park Reef Preservation Society. Anyone who wants to go with Greg and/or Greg and I are WELCOME to join in...in fact the more the merrier. It is our plan to have the Marine Park come and do a lionfish presentation so we can also *PRESENT* them with the money then.

4. Marketing of the Product: Greg has done a great job of finding a great new product and working directly with the manufacturer to get us that product. In the course of doing so the manufacturer agreed to *donate* some product to us with the hopes that if more people used his product he would open up additional lines of distribution and/or market exposure. If every SDer who used the product liked it and shared it...we'd generate a LOT of exposure for him. To sweeten the deal we suggested that we *sell* the product for the original $5 product price and *donate* that money to the manufacturer's suggested charity which is the island's Marine Park. (A cause I agree is a VERY worthy of our support and one we have supported in the past!) So by doing this we not only bring more exposure to the Marine part but we also highlight the product and the generosity of the manufacturer as well.


So for all your help and we have 4 bottles left....which I'm sure we'll sell asap! In fact I will break this out into a separate thread in the public trip forum so we get exposure for the product AND the cause!
