The Barbados trip is July 13-20 so I will route back via MIA and we'll do some FLORIDA DIVING!!! />

More details will be fleshed out in Feb but let us know where in Florida you want to dive? We have votes for Blue Heron Bridge*... the SECRET JEWEL OF DIVING IN FLORIDA as well as the WPB and Delray Beach Area!!!

We have votes for Key West and our friends in Key Largo Conch Republic Divers so we are all over the map...literally.

Let's work on finalizing WHERE you want to dive and we'll set it up! The dates are set...just need to lock in the charters!

*If you have not dove this you will /> it. If you have then you know what I mean and are probably upset that I'm sharing the best kept secret of FLORIDA with everyone else. We can't dive this on a weekend as it is a zoo. We'll set it up to dive during the week and we'll do one of the regular charters on the week. FYI... that is my current thinking so far! />

I'm also fond of Capt Tony with Diversity Charters. We've dove with him before and he has a great boat with great local diving!

I like http://www.narcosisdivecharters.com/ at Riviera Beach Marine(free & plentiful parking) just south of BHB. Large boat,EAN and all drift.

I also want to go diving next summer in Florida. The Vandenberg has been on my bucket list! Has anyone been diving on it? What did you think? How was it?

The Vandy is my favorite Florida wreck to date. I've been able to dive it about 12 times and watch it blossom as a wreck! And it has the world's ONLY underwater art gallery on it!

I broke this out so we could talk about the Florida trip I want to do next year. We'll be in Key West doing the Atocha trips in Aug so we could plan a long weekend option then or do a modified Keys Krawl to include Key West. Another thought was to do a Delray/Boynton/West Palm/Blue Herron Bridge trip. Either way we want to do FL next summer/fall so when do you want to go?

If I get to join an SD trip next year it would need to be easy to get to, like Florida, so I could join late or leave early. I'm going to be short on time.

I'm looking to do this in the fall as part of a trip to visit my parents in Florida. Going between June 1st and October 1st doesn't work as well for me as that's when my parents are in New York.

Now that Southwest has added flights to Key West, I am looking to do fly to Key West and then do a week crawl up to Miami, then over to Naples to visit the folks.

I have not excluded the possibility of doing more than one FL trip. The trick for me is to combine it in conjunction with a trip that routes via MIA already to say Dominica or Turks & Caicos or in the case of the Atocha trips we go to Key West already. Not sure what we are doing for diving next late fall/early winter...

I dove the Vandenberg in August 2009 - shortly after it was sunk - so I'd be interested in diving it again to see how it has bloomed!

The Vandy is great...ESPECIALLY the underwater art gallery! (I'll post some pics of it!) I also want to dive the Blue Heron Bridge (UBER SPECIAL) which is between FLL and WPB and do some Delray/Boynton Beach diving...it is really cool. The latter 3 are pretty close together whereas Key West is pretty far.

OTOH...I will be in Key West for 2 weeks in August already to do the Atocha Treasure Diving trips so being able to combine those trips with a Florida diving trip in Key West or nearby would be super easy to do for me!

Diving in Key Largo is great, and it's so easy to get to from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

If you have the time in the S.D. schedule.

Dive Florida before and after your Barbados trip. Do Palm Beaches before Barbados and "the keys" after. Or maybe the other way around.
