Ok so you've been divorced or you are getting divorced OR you've had a failed relationship. If you had to do it over again with your ex OR one day you consider doing it over again with someone else... what is the one thing you'd do differently?

It seems that we learn so much in those moments of clarity right after we complete yet another course in the school of hard knocks... so what nugget of wisdom can you share about your experience that you'd do differently if given the chance?

Without sounding philosophical.

I think in any relationship that goes south or dissolves, we all agree it takes 2 to make it work & ditto to fail. It takes guts and courage to stand back and say "Enough is enough". Staying in a failed relationship is harder and futile, to which I relate. As for doing any thing different, I think it depends on the( person s) and what they both have experienced in any previous relationships,(baggage). Maybe, it was through financial loss of a job or work or

just lack of communication & mis understandingsPosted Image. Quick tempers . No intimacy. .Some people like to CONTROL Love can and does fade away. Another fact of life. People change…Some for the better and some ?Age is another FACT of Life, that influences are habits or likes and dis likes. As long as we can except those of others, than life goes on.. Being honest with ones self, don't beat yourself up because of failure.

Date, Date, and Date some more!! I'd spend a Very long time dating a potential "partner for life". I'm not sure if I could actually "tie the knot" again, but it would take me several years of getting the know this person before I could consider it.

Other than that......Separate Finances!! I would never give someone access to, or share in my financial/credit standing again! It doesn't have to do with TRUST. It has to do with those hard knocks. Fool me once and only once.
