All,

My sister was asking about this accident. She says she knew the person, but yet didn't have any further info. She's (now) freaking out over the fact that I dive. I just told her that reading these 2 articles seemed to bring up a lot of unanswered questions.

http://www.coastline...0,1964865.story and http://www.lagunabea...-is-identified/

The second article it says the dive class was of 4 people, and the waters were calm. He still had his weight belt on, and his tank was empty. There is no mention of equipment failure. It doesn't say what type of class it was, nor does it say anything about his diving experience. I do find it disturbing that this event happened while in a class, especially with 4 people.

Does anyone have any information on it? Any ideas as to what you think happened?

Thanks,
ScubaJunkie6

From the "newspaper" story ....

... began the dive with a full tank of oxygen

When you see extremely gross errors like that, assume that there are many more errors in the story.
