Post some pics on our Facebook PAGE as we are trying to build that as well! Then you can 'share' them to group!
Hmmm... I was able to share them to the group but haven't found a way to do it to the page but will look again.
You may just have to post them to the page directly vs trying to share them. Then we'll highlight them! Thank you! Kamala

So I've been looking at all the cool pictures everyone took, and I started thinking about getting a camera... do you have any recommendations? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I've been doing some research and there is a lot of buzz around the GoPro Hero. Especially if you want to do video. Its a lot of camera for the money.

I've used a Sea Life camera and found it very good for beginners. I'm looking at getting a new camera since I damaged the one I have and can't get the button for taking a picture to work at times (it rolled off a bench on a trip last year in its case and hit right on the button... dented the camera's button and caused internal problems).
This site has a lot of good info on underwater photos, cameras and has a beginners camera article so is a good place to start.
There are things you should work on and think about before you start taking pictures though and these may not apply to you (I didn't dive around you much so don't recall your diving skills):
Get your buoyancy under control, weighted properly and think about how you would want someone with a camera to take pictures around you. The scruffy incident is a perfect example of what can happen when you put taking pictures above respecting your fellow divers.
I waited until I thought I was ready before getting a camera (well over 100 dives) and talked to other divers who dove with & without cameras before taking that leap.
Last thing - assume your camera will flood, you'll drop it (or it will roll off a bench ) or lose the camera and be OK with not having the camera for the rest of the vacation. The good thing is most divers with a camera are more than happy to share their pictures with you if you ask.

Great advice Butch! Hopefully even though I don't have too many dives under my belt I didn't annoy anyone with my photography. As you said buoyancy is key for both being able to take decent photos as well as not harming the reef or annoying other divers.
Great website link for advice. Exploring that will occupy some time.
