BTW, I went through all the run times on the Sola website. It seems like they are inaccurate. Sola made a change to the charging system in 2013, apparently all the run times are actually LONGER than the ones posted on their site, Sola hasn't updated the run times yet. I haven't tested it myself but I came across several reviews that confirmed this. The Sola site also confirms it "The smallest rechargeable dive light that actually delivers its published output - in a perfectly smooth spot beam. 2013 model boasts much longer run-times. . ", they just haven't posted the new times yet.

Jose, Posted ImageGreat now some of the new arrivals to the site can see what we are discussing...BTW, here are response's I got back from Sealife & L & M.... Just in case there are other Sealife owners out there...They(Sola) are truly in a league by themselves with these...
Gregory,You would need the 1" mounting screw, item# SL96022. This mounting screw is for 2 accessories(the flash base & photo light base). Just so you are aware we can't guarantee that an adaptation will work for the light.

Hi Greg,Yes, the light can be used for video as well as photography; it's a bit less powerful than our other video lights, but it's still enough for close-range video. There isn't a "correct" way to install on your Sealife system, but I recommend the following as you can get an extension tray and arm from Sealife that will be compatible with your existing strobe tray. The Photo 800 can be adapted to the 3/4" locline of the Sealife arms with the following two pieces:<http://shop.lightand...ring-combo-kit/ <http://shop.lightand...ocline-adapter/

Here's a comparison of the different Sola Photo Lights, I've been doing a lot of reading on the Sola line so if anyone has any questions feel free.

Joanne absolutely! I like the fact that when the light is on...what you 'see' is what you get! If your subject is lit up...then your picture will have light. Can't see the subject lit up? Then you are too far away and again what you see is what you get.

And for those who are interested...I have been using the sola lights exclusively for my videos and pictures. I plan to graduate to strobes and have started that process thanks to Joanne BUT 99% of all my pics are taken using either natural light OR my solas!

*Note: I use 1200's for night dives and 2000's for day dives. So if you are looking for the best all around compromise...the 1200 is it if you can afford them. You can always get one and then add another one later. One member did a 1200 and a 2000 as (1) 1200 was ALL you needed for a night dive on the lowest setting and they had the red option as well. On the 2000 there is no red option but has a huge flood area so by doing one of each they had the best of both worlds.

Sola also has a nice compact, light weight mounting tray great for cameras AND GoPro's!

I don't believe cases are supplied with the units. Light and Motion sells their hard cases separately but with mostly large sets of lights and/or housings.
