Well duh...that ought to be easy...and it is if you know this trick!

Note the on/off knob on top of the light. The picture shows the light in "safety lock position'. To turn the light ON you must first turn the knob 90 degrees until its 'horizontal' to the light and then simply push the knob forward. Push it forward again and you now have increased the power output of the light. Push it forward a third time and you have increased the power output to the max output of the light you have purchased. Logically you might think that pushing the knob forward a 4th time will turn it off...however it merely knocks it back down to the lowest power output.

To turn the light OFF... you need to push the knob forward and HOLD IT FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS IN THE FULL FORWARD POSITION UNTIL THE LIGHT TURNS OFF.

If you are not planning to use the light again...you should lock it in the 'off' position by turning the knob 90 degrees to the 'inline' position so it can't accidently be turned on.
