This is interesting, but considering it's using standard rec nitrox blends, besides the no bubbles, what advantage does this give you? It seems to stretch bottom times to 2hrs, which is nice, but I don't know if I'ld shell out thousands just for a little extra bottom time and no bubbles. It's almost like the semi-dry wetsuit argument, go dry or go wet, but in between seems like a big investment for nominal return.

All that being said, heck yeah I'ld try it! It just looks cool />

A big plus in constant ppo2 is nitrogen load. On a rebreather you are diving the best mix at every depth. The other big factor is gas usage. In grand Cayman I did a try it dive on an Evolution for 65 min to 60 fsw and I used 400 psi. That was my breathing gas and my wing gas. Out of a 13 cuft bottle of Nitrox. I didn't use enough o2 to measure. The silence was defining. It was fun swimming up on fish that didn't know I was there.

I can't afford one to start with and something I read a couple years ago always pops into my head when I look at or play in the dark side: you can die easily while open circuit diving, but a rebreather is trying to kill you..
