I like the last option the best I think but it's a long ways away.

"Return to Raja Ampat" would be my vote if I had to pick.

Just wanted to bump this back up to remind you that we still need to do this trip :teeth:/>. I've been looking at boats and the Siren's filled until 2017. Well, they have some availability in 2016, but it's the same time frame as Truk, so probably not a possibility. Have you checked with the other boats in the area? Is this something you can book or check while you are at BTS this weekend? While diving is year-round, mid Feb-mid April has possibility to see orcas, sperm whales and pilot whales as well as all the other incredible life.

Mermaid's schedules & rates are listed but not availability, so I don't know. Maybe WW can check with her sources or at BTS? Black Manta is also a strong possibility but they don't list availability either.

Wicked diving has a Raja Ampat liveaboard. They are priced pretty good. I am not sure how comfortable it is.... but $1690 for 6 nights and 7 days on a Raja Ampat liveaboard.. thats half as much as others are charging... They only book 14 people per trip... http://wickeddiving....board/#included

The first thing that jumped out to me is no AC at night. I would not be able to sleep.

If 6 days is not enough, maybe 10 days is not enough....... What about back- to-back trips on the boat? Or a second week land based?Looking forward to what might be available!

I'm hoping that WW is talking to Siren - I made the mistake of doing my first liveaboard on the Carpe Vita in the Maldives and now I'm spoiled needing A/C and more than 6 days. Need at least ten days in paradise to forget the hard airplane seats. Back to back trips would be nice but it seems Raja Ampat is such a hot ticket that the boats sell out three years in advance, it'll be a challenge to find, but maybe WW can work some magic...

Looking at 2 back to back trips...possibly 10 days each or at least one for 10 days. Looking at REALLY nice vessel so no worries about being spoiled.

Only challenge is the dates I can get are for early 2016 which is also the Truk Hailstorm. Trying for 2017 but looks like 2016 or bust.

2016 is ok for me, just means I do Raja Ampat instead of Philippines or Palau. It may suck for some others, though. And when you say "early" does that mean Mid-Feb to Mid-May? 'Cuz THAT would be AWESOME!! :cool2:/> AND is an option to include Misool / Southern Route? :2cool:/>
