Looking for a new credit card to sign up for after I use my air miles on this trip. What cc do you all use for the best bang for your buck for air travel?

I think it is going to depend a lot on what you are looking for, and your situation. Are you trying to get miles? Are you just looking for low interest?

I personally use the one from my bank because the interest rate is very low, but I try to save enough money that I can just pay off the balance when I get home. So in my case, not using the credit card is the best.

The other factor is where you live. Since I live at Frontier & United hubs, I use their cards. I'm sure there are better deals out there, but having some of the perks like priorty boarding and no charge for checked bags by using their card, makes it worthwhile.

I have the Chase United Mileage Plus Club, but would have gone with Chase Sapphire if I had not lived so closed to a major United Hub.

IMO- I like to use a CC that builds points on any purchase and maybe converted to airfare on any airline ie: AMEX is my go to CC.

If you're not aware, the FlyerTalk forums maintain extensive information on CC programs related to frequent flyers... Lots of other great stuff there as well.

PHIL,
Thank's for the Chart....NICE !!!!
I got the Frontier card recently. But it is limited on destinations. Meaning, everything seems to have to go west 1st to Denver a hub,b/4 going to "your" original destination..
