QUALIFICATIONS TO MAKE THIS TRIP
1. All skill levels are acceptable for this trip; even tol dive the Biana C which can be dove like a 'reef' gliding over it. Most starting depths are 60 ft or more so being AOW or equivilent will make you more comfortable diving here. Being nitrox certified is a must if doing 4 dives a day. It is optional if doing the 2 dives a day pkg.

Our Resort: True Blue Blue Bay 
Our resort's prime location at the meeting point of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean offers an exquisite view of the south coast of Grenada. Located on the shimmering waters of True Blue Bay, our Caribbean resort is near Grand Anse Beach and other golden sand beaches. True Blue Bay Resort is a unique and colorful Caribbean boutique resort set among tropical gardens that slope down to the sparkling blue waters of True Blue Bay. True Blue Bay Resort has two pools: Bay View Pool, located at the top of the resort, offers sunbathing and shady areas and a fabulous view of the sparkling waters of the bay. Infinity Pool, located near the Villas at sea level, has sandy and garden areas around it with beach chairs and shady awnings for guests' comfort.
The on-site restaurant & lounge bar, Dodgy's, is a popular lunch spot and a celebrated sunset and night-time scene. This unique Caribbean waterfront restaurant is a great place for drinks, lunch, snacks or dinner as its trendy contemporary design lets you enjoy a 270 degree view of True Blue Bay. The unique "Dodgy Style Bites" menu available all day long offers a delicious combination of healthy salads, seafood and contemporary versions of some old local recipes. The bar is a favorite of the locals, as the bartenders seem to dream up Caribbean-created cocktails that keep guests and locals alike coming back for more. With the unique combination of the Resort's cooks' secret recipes, owner Magdalena's Mexican influence and our international chef, the menu offers a great variety of unique dishes prepared with local fresh produce. Tropical fresh fruit, local organic chocolate and home made exotic ice creams are all carefully prepared by local pastry chef.
Local musicians perform several nights of the week, and will give you the opportunity to dance to local rhythmic beats!
ROOM CONFIGURATIONS at True Blue Bay
True Blue Rooms: These simple yet elegant rooms located next to the Bay View Pool include a charming terrace overlooking the gardens and the Bay. The teak furnishings and lovely simple colors create a very natural and peaceful relaxing space to retire after a day of fun. These rooms are steps away to the playground, pool and garden.
Indigo Rooms: The Indigo Rooms face the Bay and the enchanting infinity pool. These cozy rooms are located near the dive shop and marina and allow easy access to both the bay view pool and infinity pool. Each room has a spacious and shady balcony with chairs for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. The tropical teak furniture and bright Caribbean colors make these rooms very cheerful spaces to relax.
Tree Top Rooms: Theses rooms are located on the first floor over the reception area and near the waterfront. These cozy units have elegant teak furnishings, a balcony with a view of the tree tops and the bay.
Bay View Rooms: these are located near the bay view pool, with a stunning view of our spacious veranda of the gardens and bay. These rooms located on the first floor include beautiful teak furniture and are decorated in classic Caribbean colors.

NOTE: At this point, we are offering only Double Occupancy in order to keep our costs under control.

During your Surface Interval
Trrue Blue Bay Resort offers additional land-based activities during your surface interval. Make sure to visit with Akim, the island's most famous bartender, for a rum tasting at the Lounge Bar.
The lovely open Sankalpa Yoga Studio follows the colorful and casual style of the resort. Taking advantage of the natural island breeze and spectacular views of True Blue Bay, Sankalpa is a vibrant and energetic space in which to practice yoga. Classes are available, led by certified yoga teachers from different yoga practices such as Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin.
Is Ariel your favorite Disney character? If so, rue Blue Bay offers mermaid swimming – suits and fins provided.

Air Temperature During Day: on average day time highs reach 86°F, evening temperatures fall to 74-78°F.
Health & Wellness: The nearest recompression chamber is in Barbados & Trinidad (approx 20 min flight)
DIVING
There are more than 30 dive sites in Grenada! Whether you like to dive wrecks, reefs, or be a little adventurous and do a shark dive, Grenada has what you want! Grenada dive sites offer a wide variety for all experience levels from beginner to advanced diver and for every taste – be it shallow coral gardens, unspoiled reefs or interesting wrecks. Grenada is renowned for its large portfolio of wrecks, and artificial reefs covered with corals.
Lying beneath Grenada's surface is some of the Caribbean's most dramatic and unspoiled underwater scenery. From lazy drift dives over coral gardens to the "Bianca C", at 600 feet in length one of the largest ship wrecks in the Caribbean, Grenada waters offer captivating images to divers of all levels.
Grenada provides some of the best wreck diving the Caribbean has to offer. Some of the signature dives include the cruise ship Bianca C that sank in 1961, dubbed "Titanic of the Caribbean" and the "Shakem" – a freighter that sank just off the St. George's harbor entrance. But not only the wreck enthusiast gets their way in Grenada – all the wrecks are thanks to the nutrition-rich water artificial reefs – but also Reef and Marine life are abundant around the Isle of Spice.
Since Grenada is not yet as heavily frequented by visitors as other Caribbean destinations, the reefs, wrecks and walls remain unspoiled by crowds and many have yet to be explored. Divers will discover nearly every kind of coral imaginable, along with an abundance of marine fish life, pelagic and coastal as well as turtles, rays, and sharks. Your dives may include sightings of Black Brotula, shown below. Also sea turtles such as the Hawskbill Turtle and the Leatherback Turtle, who have their nesting grounds around the islands, are a common sight in spring and summer. A large population of Nurse sharks lives around the Atlantic dive sites, some of which give protection to pregnant nurse mammas twice a year.
The Grenada Underwater Sculpture Park is one of the most famous reef revitalization projects and the first of its kind in the world using an art exhibition to invite nature to inhabit. Established in 2006, the underwater sculpture park provides artificial reef structure from environmentally safe material on which new marine life can grow; while at the same time releasing pressure on the natural habitat.
We'll be diving with Aquanauts Dive Center, docked at True Blue Bay resort, and just a few minutes boat ride to Granada's ship wrecks and beautiful reefs. Aquanauts Dive Center takes pride in personal and professional service, and no diver has to carry tanks. Nitrox is free and gear is loaded and rinsed by the dive center team. Aquanauts instructors will tell you about the Ocean's fragile eco-system.
Aquanauts Dive Center specializes in small groups – 6-8 divers per dive guide – which helps assure you see more fish than divers! The dive boats, Salsa & Calypso, are large and comfortable vessels that feature a platform for giant stride entry, comfortable ladders, fresh water shower, a camera table and dedicated rinse bucket, toilet, shade and sun space.

Expect to enjoy buffet breakfast from 7 – 8 am daily. The dive vessels – Calypso and Salsa -- leave promptly from the True Blue Bay Resort at 8:30 am. Each morning there will be two dives before returning to the resort for lunch and leisure. Week#1 divers will return to their boats for two afternoon dives. Week #2 divers will spend each afternoon relaxing at the resort or exploring the island.

VISA/PASSPORT INFORMATION
Please note that a passport is required of all visitors arriving in Grenada. A valid return or onward airline ticket is also required. No visa is required for America, Australian, Canadian, or British passport holders. Grenada requires that passports be valid for ninety days (180 days preferred) beyond the date of entry. For other global citizens, please review Grenada visa requirements posted on the Internet.

HOW TO BOOK A SPOT ON THIS TRIP
1) Post in this thread that you plan to join us and advise your check or credit card payment is on its way via our SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT GATEWAY. (SEE PAYMENT LINK IN MY SIGNATURE LINE OR AT THE TOP OF THIS TRIP POST/TOPIC.) We'll then put your name on the 'check's in the mail' list. (Please send your payment asap as we can NOT hold any spots on this trip. Your spot will ONLY BE CONFIRMED when we receive your $500 non-refundable deposit (or $1000 if for TWO weeks) or get the early payment deals with payment in full by DECEMBER 10, 2014.) To join an SD trip you must be a premier membership which is $35 a year; however, you can get $25 back after the trip as a member rebate if you file for it.
2) Fill out the Trip Rooming & Diving Survey. (NOTE: click here to link to this form, and the forms listed below. For the password, send a PM or an email to trips@singledivers.com)
3) Fill out the SingleDivers.com Medical Liability Release. ALSO... DON'T FORGET YOUR MEDICAL ENVELOPE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (details at the bottom of the Med Liability Release)
4) Fill out the Insurance Summary.
5) Send your deposit for the trip and/or monies due based upon the payment schedule posted below and payment options. If you need to make special arrangements about payments, please contact me and I'll gladly try to work with you.
6) PLEASE USE THE BOOKING TEMPLATE FOUND BELOW IN POST #2 below. We need to know if you need rental gear, if will be diving nitrox and if you want d/o or s/o for the trip. You MUST include as much of this information as possible with your initial reservation or the type of room you want may no longer be available when you finally clarify for us.
