Hey gang...where do you want to celebrate NYE in 2016?
 
1. Saba & St Kitts?
2. Turks and Caicos? - Boat not running during this time...its  down week
3. Tobago?
4. Cozumel? - Daily Flights
5. San Sal Bahamas? - Have to do a charter flight to get there but we can set it up
6. Panama? - Need to do a full check in Feb and small so limited in size
 
So Realistically the list is now...
 
1. Saba & St Kitts liveaboard on EV
2. Tobago
3. Cozumel
4. San Sal

My vote is San Sal, Tobago or Panama - haven't been to any of them and they're all on "the list"

Any of those sounds great; my vote in order of preference is: 1) T&C, 2) Tobago, 3) Panama, 4) San Sal, 5) Saba, 6) Cozumel

RATS!  We can't do T&C on EV which is how I wanted to do it. They are down most of Jan.

 

Now which destinations?  Tababo and Panama are new. Panama will allow fewer people to go and I will be visiting the resort in Feb so would have to wait to set it up for NYE until after Feb.     Cozumel would allow daily flights AND many airport options. Plus we can do the unique bull shark option that people are raving about. They are docile and we see a unique aspect of sharking mating/behavior that is seen only in one or two places in the world.

Well darn - T&C is one I just can't seem to get to... and going to a new place might be too much for New Years.

 

Cozumel would be better for easier traveling, ability to accommodate more people plus no worries about missing the boat / not getting late arriving luggage like the Saba St. Kitts liveaboard.  So I change my vote to that

My 2 psi - Turks and Caicos and then Tabago.  Curacao?

Land based would let me attend whereas there is no way I could make a liveaboard and get back to work in time.

 

Of course, if oil stays less than $50/bbl it may not matter! (not to turn this into a political discussion, but the lower gas and oil prices are really hurting my ability to plan dive trips).

 

Cozumel and Panama would be my votes.
