I will enter, but I don't want no Scubahawk.

And actually I've already got a copy of Shadowdivers.

But I'll enter anyway.

So are we supposed to compose a scuba poem based on

"The Night before Christmas"?

Ok we will still offer ScubaHawk as a prize...LOL!!! And I'll pull the book for lack of interest and find another more enticing prize!

In the meantime...you can do any diving work of art! Rumour has it Neptuner is writing a song...ScubaHawk wrote a holiday poem and you can write anything you like as long as it is diving in nature...holiday or not.

Good luck...looks like we've got at least 3 contestants so maybe we have a contest afterall!

Gee, can I just submit all my "Dive Dry with Dr. Bill" newspaper columns? If I win, I'd prefer a prize other than ScubaHawk... perhaps Wreck Wench herself!!

Great work ScubaHawk :teeth:

For the nerdy out there (like myself) can you find the meaning behind the dolphins names?

The latin for Striped Dolphin is "Stemella coeruleoalba". I assume thats what you were referring to.

Right in One!

I give up :teeth: , why is one of the dolphins called Theresa then Hawk?
The sea does not belong to despots. On its surface iniquitous rights can still be exercised, men can fight there, devour each other there, and transport all terrestrial horrors there. But at thirty feet below its level their power ceases, their influence dies out, their might disappears.
Ah, sir, live in the bosom of the waters! There alone is independence. There I recognise no masters! There I am free.

She (and her offspring) were one of the first dolphins used for therapy with handicapped children. I thought she deserved a mention.

This is too rich.

Actually its more like...

1. Blue water or not
2. Anything diving related including the pre-diver stages
3. A poem...song...story...short play...long play...rhyme....riddle....anything that is creative and involves the written word.
4. ONE of the prizes is ScubaHawk since he so graciously offered himself...the other WAS a book until people complained a book wasnt' enough...mind you it was an autographed book but now the OTHER prize has been changed to something yet specified...and maybe deliverable by none other then WW herself! :teeth:

But seriously....(yes we have those moments occasionally and rarely on SD...)
but seriously...I'll come up with another prize more suitable. In the meantime...start the creative juices.....its not all about the money...(or prize)...its about the thrill of dazzling your fellow diving buddies and wowing us with your talents and allowign us to innudate you with alcolades for your creativity and talent!!!

Yeah...that's what it is.....

a load of c-r-a-p! (See TF....I did learn something from you! LOL!!!) :lmao:

Since I'm the only one that's entered so far (twice if you count my limerick) if no one else enters, and since I win myself on a regular basis anyway (don't ask) would I win the book? I keep giving away my copies to diver friends, I could finally have one of my own. (especially if delivered by WW)

I bet we could get some great Haiku posted or better (or worse) yet, more limeriks

She was both dashing and cute
Brains and a body to boot
But the urge was strong
and the line too long
'Swhy she peed in her wet suit.

THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!! GROUPIES WELCOME!!!! :teeth: THANK YOU !!!!

Think of all the fun I’ve missed.

Oops I think this should have been posted in Non-Diving with the other Christmas silliness but I must have moved the mouse too quickly because I didn't see that area when I was looking. Would it be too much to ask that you move it where you deem appropriate. Thanks R
