Hi all,

I've been looking for a front zipper shorty to replace my old one. Seems a Dodo would be easier to find. ScubaPro (my usual equipment go to vendor) no longer has them in their 2016 lineup, everything is rear entry which is great for the world at large, but due to a war wound I need a front zipper.

Long sleeves, 3 MM and zipper from thigh to neck. Simple neoprene, no fancy logos or materials are my criteria.

Does anyone have a suggestion where I can pick one up?

Cheers.

Shad

You can try posting in the Facebook group Scuba Gear Swap and Shop. I've found all kinds of out of production gear there. And there's also scubaboard.com.

I'd like to buy new if possible.

Yeah scuba board has manufacturer and dive shop boards that are actually monitored. If you post in there, you might get a dive shop responding that they have one in inventory or a diver that knows a dive shop that carries one.

Same thing with the Facebook group. People sell new never used stuff on there all the time. You can post and maybe someone has one they never used or can at least point you in the right direction.

I actually see similar wetsuits as part of farmer John combos all the time at Dutch Springs, except that they are usually long sleeve. Although I do see short sleeve ones people throw over full wetsuits all the time up here.

You can tear off the logos if you woudl like, then just suffer through having it more comfortable due to the fancy stretchable material.

Hi Shad. I was in exactly the same position, couldn't believe how hard it was to find a nice front zipper shorty... Finally I decided to have one made to measure at wetwear. So happy I did!!! It didn't cost any more than a good quality wetsuit off the rack, and the fit is amazing. I am a medium size, but very curvy. It is fitted to my body perfectly. Now I don't have that space in the small of my back that collects cold water, and my boobs are not getting crushed, lol! Also I got to choose the colour/design myself. You can be as simple or elaborate as you want. Connie has the patience of a saint, she truly wants to make sure you are happy.

That's all right Coconut.  I'm rather curvy for a guy. :D

Not in the way you think though. My wife signed up for a two year Chef course and she's doing pastries and desserts this month. My waistline is suffering as a result.

Will check out wetwear though. Cheers.

Lol!!! Good luck, I'm sure you will be happy if you go with Wetwear. If it isn't perfect the first time she will make any adjustments necessary. Someone should invent a neoprene that stretches, so when we get those extra curves from too many pastries it will be more forgiving :)
