I joined several years ago, but then found what I thought would be my lifelong travel & scuba buddy.  Now back to buddy-less. Seeking new friends and experiences.  Looking forward to meeting and traveling with other divers.   Would love to find new buddies who are into u/w photography and like to take it slow.  I've got a few classes still to go for Advanced Diver.  Still a little leary of planing dives without a dive master to lead the way.  There's really so much out there I'd like to learn. So, many classes to take and need to get those dive counts up!

When I'm not in the water, I'm mostly busy building my new business working with seniors (55+).  Enjoy margaritas on the patio, photography, snow skiing, wine tastings, art openings, fun DIY projects, backyard dance parties and anything adventurous, but not terrifying  .

Hello Tammy and welcome back to our community of buddyless, but active and enthusiastic, divers! :welcome: We see you have posted in other New or Returning topics, you really hit the ground running and we love to see that! As you know the Wench :blond: created SingleDivers.com right there in Dallas, and we still boast a large number of active members in the area. We invite you to check  out our recently revamped Home Page where the spotlight is on the list of amazing dive trips Kamala is constantly conjuring for us all!

Perhaps you would be interested in sponsoring a DFW Happy Hour sometime? Reply here if interested and we will let you know how to go about it, and how we assist in getting the word out proactively with surgical strike email blasts to area members. We have two Happy Hours simmering right now in fact, one in Arizona and the other in South Florida. It is the best way to quickly meet and network with other members in your area. Just let us know here, an again, welcome back!

OH, and as you may be aware, ALL of Kamala's trips are managed with DM level dive guides, and include UW photographers (aka water shutterbugs) on each trip. We are sure you will be matched with a compatible buddy to crawl the reefs and click with! :cool2: It's kinda what we do here! *grins*

Tammy   -   :welcome:   back!!!   :welcome:  back!!!  :welcome: back!!!

Kamala does an excellent job of pairing up buddies. She has an extensive survey for diving experience [and for roommate, too] to make sure you'll be paired with a compatible diver. She also has a 'rent-a-buddy' program, to enable you to dive w/a dive master/instructor for those who might need to increase their confidence in their diving skills. The divers at SingleDivers, usually have started as newly certified and over the years have taken numerous trips, they are happy to answer your questions. I suggest you look at the trip forums to find an upcoming trip which you might be interested in.

Unfortunately, I didn't begin diving until I became a "senior", a little over ten years ago. I've made 10 trips w/SingleDivers, plus many others. I began taking pictures after 3 years of diving, it's important to have your buoyancy absolutely dialed in before starting to dive with a camera. Now, sometimes I have to dive w/o a camera, just to enjoy the freedom.

Again, welcome back, hopefully all the locals will come together for a Happy Hour. It's been WAY TOO LONG since the last one.

Bill

:hiya:  Tammy and :welcome:  back.  One of the best things about SD is the fact the Kamala puts in lots of hard work to ensure that your dive buddy and your roommates are compatible.  the diving in lots of fabulous places is the icing on the cake.  There are lots of photogs on each trip I have been on and the pictures are amazing.  Hope you are on a trip soon. :wakawaka:
