Hey everyone...I will have flight options in the next 12-24 hrs. Then we can decide as a group which gateway city and I will have recommendations on hotel options and tours and pricing as well.
I spoke to Safari yesterday and they will have info for us to work with shortly. We know that "most" will choose the same option and "some" will use different gateway cities but we need EVERYONE to understand the risks and tradeoffs of each option. This will help us with booking.

THIS TRIP WILL BE SOOOOO FANTASTIC!
Just found my note to remind me to get this done - so I just paid for Nitrox for the week.
One step closer to diving Raja Ampat!
Looking forward to getting the other details finalized so all we have to do is get there and ENJOY!
Looks like this will be my 30th trip with Sd.com, WOW!

Kamala Et Al: on this trip, the last day on the live aboard is the 22nd with an overnight in a Sorong hotel, if not flying out that night? That right?

WE ARE DIVING RAJA AMPAT!! WOO HOO!!!
The trip is barely over 4 months away, but the days are passing very quickly! YEA!! It would be very helpful to know the price of the hotel for those of us who will arrive a few days early, and it would also be helpful to know the total the cost of the roundtrip DOMESTIC flights to/from Bali to Sorong.
One of the many GREAT things about singledivers.com is the ability to book these things (hotel and local flights) as a group which saves us all money and stress. Then we know for SURE that we are at the correct hotel, and that we are on the correct domestic flight.
Since I have already paid for the liveaboard, and nitrox, it would be nice to get the other amounts paid in advance also.
Another excellent BUCKET LIST adventure with singledivers.com!! Keep 'em coming!

Yes time to get excited. I have some updates and will jump on this asap now that most of my crud the past 2-3 weeks has finally subsided. MORE ASAP!!!

I think I found the answer. the last day on the boat is 23rd with a morning dive and lunch, correct? Would most people be overnighting in Sorong before departing next day? If so, what"s a good hotel?

I'm very confused about navigating the Forums particularly the ones relating to travel details-(flights, hotels, sightseeing, etc). I haven't seen anything new lately and want to be current and make sure my itinerary is right before booking the big airfare. Where do I go to get the latest info on what others are doing, when/who books the hotels and flights into Sorong, etc, etc. Is this the place to do that?
