PLEASE check it and yes we need to decide the venue ASAP.  Was hoping to be closer to Boynton because we want the gang at Pura Vida Divers to join us!

 

We just added them to our Best of Florida ALL STAR LINE UP so want to have them help us celebrate the news!

Another suggestion: Brass Ring Pub on US 1 in Riviera Beach.  Best burgers in all of Florida.  Close to Riviera Beach Marina dive boats and Blue Heron Bridge.

I have heard very good things about Brass Ring Pub from multiple sources, although I have never been there.

 

Wench, what are your thoughts; Riviera Beach or Boynton?   (or Boca Raton).    Aren't you are always on top?  (of the pulse of the dive world).

 

Is the city/location of HH more important or parking or prices?

 

Again, any of these cities are fine with me.

Brass Ring Pub is a great place but usually PACKED!!!  That would be my only drawback to that.

 

Hopefully we will be doing fairly regular HH's and we will want to mix them up a bit so that other members can join us.

 

I'll talk to Mark and see what he thinks since he is the co-HH coordinator and we'll pick a PLACE asap. The time will remain 4 so people can do other things in the evening like dive or attend a Halloween Party and we'll get back to you very soon!

I was recently introduced to a place in Boca Raton that has plenty of tall tables, large bar, no smoking, and parking right there, that does not have Boca Raton prices.  I have been in Delray Beach for 16 years and all the places like that in this town were bought out and demolished to build skyscrapers many years ago.  There is/was one in Boynton Beach (I have not been there in a year so don't know if it has been bought and demolished or it is still there.  But I could drive by next weekend to check.)

Is there any truth to the rumour that I could start about there being a halloween costume contest at the S.D. happy hour?

 

 

 

Hmmm I could try and wear the costume I got for UNDERWATER in Bonaire... but would have to decide REALLY REALLY soon as I start flying again Thursday and won't be back to SC until nearly Thanksgiving!  So gotta pack it now if we are going to do anything Halloween oriented!

Hey Guys! If you want to be closer to Boynton, actually IN Boynton on the water. I think Banana Boat or 2 Georges is good.  2 Georges gets a little packed on the weekend and they usually have a band, so perhaps Banana Boat is better. They are essentially right next to each other and I think Banana Boat is easier parking. :-)

South Florida Happy Hour now Sat Oct 29th!

 

Date:  Oct 29th
Time:  We are looking at 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM (or thereabouts) to facilitate diving on Sunday and/or other plans that evening and/or longer driving distances. 
 
Location: NOW OCEAN 234 on A1A by Hillsboro. Which is Deerfield and halfway between Fort Lauderdale and Delray basically.
