South Florida diving offers some of the most biologically diverse diving in the world, and it is full of large sea life including plenty of turtles (on any given dive, you will see Green, Leatherback, AND Loggerhead turtles), abundant fish, as well as lots of sharks and GOLIATH GROUPERS. Macro lovers will also enjoy diving in the area. We will enjoy a variety of dives including reefs, shipwrecks, night dives, drift dives, and shore dives. Reefs are teaming with the same tropical fish species seen throughout the Caribbean. There are also larger pelagic species that migrate and different times of the year. Because of the close proximity of the Gulf Stream, Southeast Florida reefs are known for warm water with excellent visibility and lots of BIG sea life year round. There are also over 100 shipwrecks in all depth ranges. The reef system begins less than 1/4 mile offshore, so this also means considerably shorter boat rides than other places. AND WE CAN HUNT AND KILL LIONFISH!

- NOTE: For the Jupiter dives we will fax in nitrox and c-cards and do paperwork online then the tanks will be delivered to the dock/boat for our use and picked up daily and returned. NOTE: YOU MUST DO THE PAPERWORK IN ADVANCE OR NO TANK RENTALS DELIVERED TO THE DOCK

- 1 add'l night hotel so you do not have to check out on the last day of diving and can return to the hotel, shower, relax and rest before heading out the next day.
- NOTE: PLEASE use this pkg if you are flying to Fl or you wish to stay an extra night before driving home.
DOES NOT INCLUDE
- Tanks and tank transport to the 3 boat operators (since most will need to rent, some will need fills and a few may want upgrades to larger tanks)...SO WE HAVE CREATED A "TRIP TANK RENTAL PKG" that includes enough NITROX rental tanks for every dive included in the pkg. INCLUDING transfers of those tanks to and from the boat for you. - BE SURE TO SIGN UP FOR THE "TRIP TANK RENTAL PKG" VIA THE TRIP ADD ONS IF YOU NEED THEM. You can also upgrade the "NITROX tank pkg" to steel nitrox tanks for 1 of the 2 providers. (Sorry Pura Vida does not offer steel tanks)
- NOTE: The tank rental pkg price INCLUDES paying each dive operator to take your tanks to and from the boat. If you are having your own tanks filled please make sure that you are able to drop them off for fills and pick them back up again. They will not be taken to the boat for you or back to the shop like we do the rental tanks.
- NOTE: Due to variability of the Blue Heron Bridge dive 1 80cf air tank rental has been added to the TRIP RENTAL TANK PKG and we can easily organize more dives once we know the tide schedule. CURRENT SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY AFTERNOON NOTE: Should the tide schedule preclude a dive at the bridge during our week, we will not be able to refund the air tank rental price.
- ADD'L TANK INFO: We have a nitrox tank rental pkg for all 2 dive operators and 1 Blue Heron Bridge air dive for those doing all days and wanting boat supplied tanks. If you are a local Florida SingleDivers.com member joining us for a few days of diving (as available)... you can rent tanks from us for each operator a bit closer to the trip
- Some transportation to/from airports and/or the dive sites may not be included. Our dive club members have always done a great job helping pick people up for the airport (please fly into WPB if possible) to aid being picked up. If you choose to rent a car please let us know as others will share the car with you offsetting the expense. We will help to organize this for our club members. We will use our forums to help organize who arrives when so we can help organize transportation.

- DIVE Insurance- is MANDATORY! DIVE insurance is VERY inexpensive. Even if you have insurance that you think covers DIVING ACCIDENTS and air lifts…it is CHEAP to get a supplemental policy to ensure you are cared for. NOTE: Only DAN offers domestic dive insurance at this time so please be sure to add DAN to your dive insurance options.
- TRIP Insurance- It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. See INSURANCE Tab below for recommendations.

HOW TO PAY:
- As you sign up for a trip you will add either the trip deposit amount or the full trip price to the shopping cart. - When you are ready to pay for the extras you want you will click on the BOOK NOW button for the trip you are on and select the add-on(s) that you wish to pay for, add them to your cart and then check out. Depending on the trip you may need to click on the purple TAKE ME TO THE ADD-ON'S BOX. IN GENERAL:

Travel & Transfer Details:
AIRPORT/TRANSFER/CAR POOLING INFO
- If flying in we suggest PBI Palm Beach International which is 22 miles to the hotel or about 30-40 mins depending on traffic. Parking at the hotel is $15 per day (we are trying to negotiate free parking for our group) If you can't find a flight to Palm Beach then FLL Ft Lauderdale about 65 miles away or 70-90 mins to thehotel. Although we do not recommend it you can fly into MIA about 2.5-3 hrs from hotel or more if you like but the other two will be significantly closer. Let us know which airport and we'll help with car pooling and/or shared rentals.
- If driving please let us know so we can help coordinate who needs rides and who has cars. Members will be asked to pitch in for gas and/or sharing in car rentals.
- We will ensure that all drivers have directions from the hotel to the boats and/or dive shops depending on where our point of departure is. This will come a bit closer to the trip.
- We will use the TRIP FORUMS to help coordinate flights, car pooling, ride sharing etc. The sooner you sign up the easier it will be to coordinate such things. Please offer to share a personal vehicle if driving and/or a rental car if flying. Local members often help with airport pick ups so they can meet fellow members and get to know more people at the social events we plan in conjunction with the trip.

VISA/PASSPORT INFORMATION
This trip is located in the US so no passport is required.
TRIP INSURANCE IS OPTIONAL BUT STRONGLY SUGGESTED
If you miss your Flight(s) to (PBI) Florida you MAY be able to catch a flight the next day or you may have to divert to another airport. This can be costly in S Florida especially given the increase in the transport costs trying to reach the hotel if diverted to FLL or MIA. If you choose to self-insure that is fine but you also choose to accept all losses accordingly as SD.com nor any vendors will be responsible for losses due to non-insurance.

Click HERE for Dive Assure for either a 'one time' policy OR ! an annual policy that is either BOTH Dive & Trip Insurance providing PRIMARY COVERAGE with excellent rates and coverage OR JUST TRIP INSURANCE. Florida offers something for ALL divers but this trip is not for all divers. It is for divers with 40-50 dives who are AOW or equivalent, nitrox certified and comfortable with live boat pick ups, drift dives, managing current to either hide from the current or stay with the flag carrier as well as being able to 'throw a bag' on their own or deploy a safety sausage from 20 feet while doing your safety stop so the boat can be tracking where the current is taking them if they get separated from their group. In other words...this is not a beginner's trip even though Florida does offer diving suited for novices. But for those able, and willing...THIS WILL BE A SPECTACULAR EXPERIENCE watching the Goliath Groupers Aggregate (fancy word for fish porn aka spawning) and see LOTS OF SHARKS!!! And we do mean LOTS AND LOTS OF SHARKS!!! Up close and personal!

17 Aug Friday - arrive in South Florida. Check into Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place right on the water and walking distance to one of our dive operators! 18 Aug Saturday - 2-tank morning dive (8am) with PURA VIDA DIVER. We'll figure out where we will dive based upon the group going and any training we are providing. We can do an optional 1 or 2 tank dives in the afternoon (1:30pm) if doing or your own afternoon excursion.
19 Aug Sunday - 2 tank morning dive (8am) with PURA VIDA DIVERS then optional 1 or 2 tank dives in the afternoon (1:30pm) if doing or your own afternoon excursion.
20 Aug Monday - 2-tank morning dive (8am) with PURA VIDA DIVERS (Again boat choice of sites combined with needs for training if any.) then based upon the tides...we'll do an afternoon dive at the world famous Blue Heron Bridge!
21 Aug Tuesday - Diving Jupiter we'll do a 3 tank day dive (8am) with EMERALD CHARTERS including lunch HERE , Blowing Rocks Marina, 18487 S.E. Federal Highway, Jupiter, FL 33469. Note: to save time, please complete the boat waiver in advance.

26 Aug Saturday IF YOU WISH TO STAY AN EXTRA DAY TO TRAVEL TO THE CAYMANS WITH US....please add another night hotel room to your trip. Friday night checking out Sat to fly to Caymans is NOT included in the pkg.
DAILY DIVE TRIP SCHEDULE FOR OUR TRIP:
- 8:00 am & 1:30 or 2pm if we have enough for a double dip... (We can possibly schedule optional afternoon dives for the first 3 diving days as this operators offer an afternoon double or single dip. Once people sign up we can start talking about adding these extra dives. We need 4 to run. Extra dives are NOT possible on the last 3 days of diving in Jupiter as they are already 3 dive days so an afternoon is feasible but not practical from a nitrogen loading standpoint)
- The diver should bring any gear that they have, a c-card, any medications that could be necessary, and of course things like a towel or a jacket, if the conditions require.

TEMPERATURE FACTS:
Water temperature do exceed 80 degrees in the summer to the low seventies in the winter. If you can see it in the Caribbean waters, you can see it here...Honest!! Our depths run from 45'- 65' on the west side of the reef, and 50'-80' on the east side of the reef. Since you asked about wrecks, we feature wrecks that sit in anything from 80' - 110'.

Experience Required & Training/Workshops:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
We'll start the week off doing drift dives and wreck dives out of the West Palm & Riveria area. This will help to acclimate you if you've been out of the water for awhile to participate in the Jupiter Diving.
Due to the currents and depths especially of the second half of the trip, we are limiting the trip to experienced divers who:
- are Advanced Open Water Certified
- are Enriched Air Nitrox* certified with at least 40-50 dives (you must discuss ability to safely and comfortably make these dives with the trip organizers if we have not dove with you before)
- are comfortable if they are separated from the group due to currents
- can safely and effectively deploy a safety sausage/smb without a buddy to help FROM 20 FT OF WATER WHILE DRIFTING
- can board a boat without being on a mooring line ie. live boat pick up
- can manage current on a wreck or reef using it to shield you while you wait for others
- are comfortable with large sharks being in close proximity to them or don't mind skipping either the wreck or shark dives if not comfortable without a refund for any missed dives
- ar comfortable with small amounts of food being in the water to entice the sharks to come check us out.
It is especially important for all divers on this trip to not only be comfortable with large sharks around so that they do not spook the animals and either scare them away for the others on the trip or agitate them as they sense fear in the water.
REQUIREMENTS FOR PURA VIDA DIVES:
- We do require that all of our divers have their own timing device (watch or computer) and a safety sausage. We have both available for purchase in our store if needed. If you're renting a regulator, it will come with a computer in the console. If you're renting a BCD it will have a safety sausage attached.
- If you do not require gear rental, please check in at the boat at least 30 minutes before departure.
- If you do require rental gear, please call us to set up a pick up time...usually 1 hour before departure. (NOTE SD.com will help to coordinate this for you but contact trips@singledivers.com with any questions)
- The shop does not provide transportation between the shop and boat locations. (Again SD will help with this)

- 7 AM Check In at Scuba Work, 351 South US Hwy One, Jupiter, FL 33477 561-575-3483 IF RENTING GEAR. IF NO GEAR THEN YOU JUST MEET AT THE BOAT WHICH IS LITERALLY PARKED AT THE HOTEL at 7:30am
- Departs at 8 AM, returns approximately 2:30 PM.after doing 3 tank dives & lunch at sea
- Nitrox and other Certification Cards MUST BE FAXED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL ALONG WITH DIVE PAPERWORK and then presented AGAIN at time of Check In – If you do not have a copy of cert cards, get replacements before you come – Lack of Cert Cards on the day of the trip will forfeit your trip and no refunds will be issued
- ALL Divers MUST have Nitrox Certification and should have Advanced Dive Certifications or the equivalent of at least 50 logged dives with Deep Diving and Drift Diving Experience.
- Last dive must have been within 6 months of the booked dive trip.
- No white, pink, yellow, or other bright colored fins, gloves, masks, snorkels, wetsuits or TANKS.
- Black hoods are required for long hair
- Wetsuits and gloves are required for everyone.
- All Dive Trips are 3 Tank Dive Trips and all are Drift Dives / Safety Marker (DSMB) Required
- Weights are not provided on the boat (we can help rent them for you if flying in)
- Customers TYPICALLY transport tanks to and from Boat but we have paid to have SCUBA WORKS transport RENTAL TANKS to & from the boat for SD.com.for Jupiter dives via the TANK RENTAL PKG
- IF you are having your own tanks filled, YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR THE TRANSPORT in your package AND you are responsible for handling your own transfers, and fills. (Contact us about possibly helping with this)
Optional Training Certification
*If you are not yet Nitrox certified, you have plenty of time to do so online before the trip, then a short practicum will be given in person so you can start diving Nitrox on your first dive. (Nitrox has many benefits including LONGER BOTTOM TIMES, shorter surface interval times and reduced levels of nitrogen in the body. Many people feel less tired after diving and seem to have more energy.
Be sure to talk to us PRIOR if you are working to finalize your nitrox or AOW classes. We'd love to have you join us and HAVE A FANTASTIC trip!
Insurance, Documentation & T&C's:
INSURANCE
DIVE Insurance is required![/size] DIVE insurance is VERY inexpensive. Even if you have insurance that you think covers DIVING ACCIDENTS and air lifts…it is CHEAP (approx $100) to get a supplemental policy to ensure you are covered for an entire year of diving.
We recommend for US Diving:

Trip Insurance is STRONGLY SUGGESTED and/or required (depending on the trip)![/size] TRIP insurance is VERY inexpensive. Even if you have insurance that you think covers your trip…it is CHEAP (approx $100-$200) to get a supplemental policy to ensure you are covered for your investment in your dive trip. If you opt to not get trip insurance you are responsible for all losses related to your trip including not going for any reason.
DOCUMENTATION
All SingleDivers.com trips require necessary documentation to facilitate booking your trip and/or making it a better experience for you. Once you complete your documents online our automated system will take the information from your last trip with us and fill out your new trip forms for you. You then add any missing information and/or change anything that is no longer current. You will find the forms you need to complete under MY TRIPS which you will find under TRIPS in the main menu across the top of the site. Since each trip requires a unique set of docs, please choose the correct trip from your "My Trips" drop down and then complete the forms required for that trip. Some trips will also ask you to complete the resort or liveaboard's forms as well.
The AIR AUTHORIZATION FORM is only required when you are having SingleDivers.com book air for you but this includes air that is part of the trip pkg price.
Not all of our forms are online as they are either infrequently used or being phased out. If you need a form that is not in our online directory, simply click on SUPPORT on the main menu and then click on SUBMIT HELP TICKET and choose TRIP ADMINISTRATION and ask for the form you need.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
All SingleDivers.com trips require:
- You complete the necessary documentation as referenced above for each trip you sign up to take with us. A $75 document fee will be applied if you fail to submit your online and uploaded documents withing 21 days of signing up for a trip or within 3 days if signing up within 45 days of departure.
- You read the EXPERIENCE REQUIRED & TRAINING/WORKSHOPS information in the online trip details to ensure that you are able to safely and comfortably meet the requirements of the trip. Please contact to further discuss any questions you have about attending one of our trips. We often accept students who would not otherwise meet the stated trip requirements because they are taking a class that will then enable them to meet the trip specifications and they will be diving with an instructor or dive master during the dives.
- We require Dive Insurance for all dives and trips as stated above and we STRONGLY recommend trip insurance for all dives and trips but in some cases require it due to vendor specific mandates. Please see the online trip details under INSURANCE to see if the trip has optional or mandatory trip insurance requirements.
- In the event of cancellation, your trip insurance will be your first line of defense. Secondary remedies include some rights afforded to you based upon when you have to cancel your trip in writing. Please see THIS link for full additional trip cancellation details.
