Howdy.

I did 4 SD trips from 2007 through 2009 (2 Flower Gardens and 2 Dry Tortugas---all on the Mighty Vessel Spree), then got involved with travelling with the Dallas area shop I did DM with and their DMs and Instructors & friends (destinations such as Little Cayman, Saba, Bonaire, Turneffe, Ambergris Caye, and Cozumel).  Over time, life happened and that once-large group drifted apart (last trip in 2017 was 3 of us to Cozumel).

I retired from corporate America and moved back to San Antonio in 2015.  I'm also retired from herding open water students through zero viz lake water, although I still renew my PADI membership.  I remember Wreck Wench and Scuba Schaefer and a few others from back in the good old days.  Anyway, I still want to travel, and it's more fun with like-minded people.  I love Cozumel and Ambergris (the diving, and also staying in villas and finding good local restaurants & bars).  My bucket list is Raj Ampat and Micronesia, et al, and now I can make it happen.

Looking forward to travelling again with SD sometime in the not too distant future.

Welcome back - I recall being on a few trips with you back then.  There are several spots open on the Raja Ampat trips in January and February so hop on one before they fill up.

Hey Chuck OF COURSE I REMEMBER YOU!!!

And we are THRILLED YOU HAVE FOUND YOUR WAY BACK TO THE GROUP!!! :wakawaka:

We have the traditional trips but also many of the exotics as well!  As Cajun Diver mentioned...we have some spots still left on the Raja Ampat trip in Jan/Feb and it is FAB!!!  If I was only allowed one trip more in this world...it would be Raja on Dive Damai....you feel as if you have dived and gone to heaven! Yes pun intended!!!

We also have Belize next Mar via liveaboard which is THE WAY TO DIVE BELIZE HANDS DOWN!!! And other perennial favorites in the Caribbean including one most DO NOT visit which is Dominica!

So check our trips HERE and we'd love to have you join us or if you want to help the club in anyway...WE ALWAYS NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!  :thankyou:

Thanks for the kind words.  No trips planned yet but would like to go back to Little Cayman again, and yes Raj Ampat is on the list.

I suggest Bonaire and Saba as future possibilities.  Both were real cool, on the island and under water.  The restaurants on both were great.

I've become a real fan of going someplace and experiencing the town when not on the boat, and no set schedule except for the dive boat departure.

We'll see!
