I never heard dimes on the windowsills. I have heard that you are supposed to put dimes in the black-eyed pea soup, for wealth in the next year. Does it work the same? I hate black-eyed peas! So I never do that.

My grandmother always said that dimes on the windowsills is for good fortune in the new year.
