I've been hearing that flights from the US to Asia should be booked as much as six months in advance now to get the best prices. Anyone else starting to look at flights?

Based on the original dates and the advice about when to travel for those, am I correct that we should plan to depart no later than January 7 and begin our return January 23?

Also, does anyone have travel insurance they would recommend, based on actually having used it and not getting the runaround when filing a claim?

We need to figure out what people want to do routing wise... go thru Bali and enjoy a few days of culture and a chance to get bags etc or try and go straight thru such as routing via Jakarta? 

 

Since I'm just getting back from Indonesia with our land based trip..., I have much better info on routings, how the carriers are traveling since covid and what to do in Bali etc.

 

I need a day or so to get back on US vs 13 hrs difference...

Just getting back from our glorious Best of Mexico trip...thanks for the bump Brad... we have hotels on reserve. You do not need to manage that. I have several properties on hold and will finalize my final choice shortly. You can of course make your own reservations but for safety and logistical purposes as well as economy of scale we recommend you use our group hotel choice...even if its not entirely decided upon yet. Again...I  have several properties on hold and will decide which one I go with a bit closer to the date.

Are the hotels being considered all in the same general area, or are they spread out over the island? I want to stay with the group, but I might take into consideration where we're starting from when choosing tours.

I'm looking at a few different hotels but may end up near the airport BECAUSE AFTER TRAVELING SO MUCH BEING CLOSE IF YOU ARE DELAYED OR HAVE TO TAKE ANOTHER FLIGHT ....IS HUGE.  This worked well for us last time, ESPECIALLY for those not able to arrive several days earlier.

 

But I do have hotels in several places. I'm still evaluating how they are surviving post covid since many properties have not fared well.

 

Once everyone tells me what they want to do tour wise that will help narrow the hotel options down as well.  Thank you

Christie based on a review of your document completion report and attached documents summary, you are 100% complete for the Raja Jan 2024 trip UNLESS there is a change in your submitted itinerary, insurance expiry etc. We will have no way of knowing of course so we rely on the trip attendees to take the initiative regarding any necessary updates, but again as of today you are good to go and thank you for checking in!!
