Hey Brad,

Just look up a couple of posts in this thread. Posts 20-22. I also posted last month on the #3 thread Socorro Questions thread posts 8-10. Sorry if I made a mess for ya buddy lol. But yeah she posted that she was getting the spec on the tanks, HP or LP and weight.

Thanks

Hey Brad, Hope all is well. Just a heads up, Jenny and I requested the steel 100's also. Just waiting to here back from Kamala on the specs of the tanks, but definitely are interested in getting them.

thanks

Hi Jose!

I just double checked the Socorro trip folder in the Trips Inbox as well as the Dive Survey, Rooming Survey, and Special Accommodations Forms for you and Jenny looking for a mention of the 100's with no luck; however Kamala occasionally replies directly with members without remembering to include a CC to Trips, so the Trip Coordinators are in the loop. I am adding you and Jenny to the Steel 100's request list right now, for a total of three with Pat. This far ahead (The Wench is supposed to work on Socorro Add Ons like Nitrox, hotel res for Extra Nights, etc. immediately upon returning from Bahamas) should be plenty of lead time for the boat to gather three tanks during a dockside replenishment. :diver:

Jose no worries, I thought I was following along all the topic threads (it's a TC thing) :blush2:  but clearly that got past me. The bottom line is, so long as Kamala  :blond: has responded I know she knows... you know. :teeth:  Guess that puts Jenny and yourself at the top of the first come first served 100's list; will keep fingers crossed but feel pretty sure the boat will come up with enough for everyone asking....

I am booking my flights today I will be arriving on the 25th and will need a hotel for two nightsI I’m also interested in doing nitro.  Hopefully they can do it in 100cf tanks.  I would really want to dive 100s.

Sorry Pat I overlooked a couple of details:

 - For you May 25 arrival the 2 extra nites, let us know if you prefer d/o or s/o and Oceanview or NonOcean

 - Of course we will add your name to the Nitrox list - I meant to include that with the 100cf tank request answer. :diver:

I am fine with a d/o and either view. Do we know which hotel yet?  I was just wondering if we can do our 5 day out Covid test at the hotel. I saw that one hotel had the test for $23 with $20 credit back.

Could we also get some feedback on the boat's current testing requirements please? What do we need to arrange pre-departure?

As per there website: "Please ensure you arrange for a PCR or

antigen test within 7 days of boarding. We will also be providing complimentary antigen testing before boarding. This is required
for your safety and that of our crew."

Does that mean we need two tests? Or is the complimentary testing before boarding sufficient? I gather they do not care :glare: if a traveller is fully vaccinated with all the testing shenanigans.

I also understand, they provide complimentary testing when the boat gets back to the dock to facilitate flights back to the US - is that still correct? I am certainly hoping the test requirement for US returns will be lifted for those of us fully vacc'ed, but it may not happen in time.

Only Kamala has details on the trip hotel, she may be back online in a limited manner tonight depending on what Internet access is available at the dock. Thanks for posting this extra information, Kamala reviews Forums topic updates first when returning to internet access so she will see this helpful info very soon. I wish I could offer more, thanks for your patience! :diver:

Great questions Jose, only Kamala can answer them definitively and she will be back online maybe tonight, she will be home by tomorrow night and should see and answer this sometime Sunday. :diver:

Any trip related news? Testing, requests for extra dives, steel tanks, how to pay the extra fee?

per your email...I would like to schedule a warmup dive, I am arriving on May 26, at 3:26 PM (in case that that helps for scheduling purposes.

I do have a question: do we still need to get a COVID test if we been vaccinated? Its no big deal if I have to get a test, it just one less thing to worry about.

I cannot wait for this trip!

Definitely sign us up for the warm up dives and possibly more like the seal dive, when we get more info regarding logistics like times, locations and number of dives. By what time do we have to arrive at the dive shop to be able to do the dives warmup/extra dives?

Also, did we get details on the tanks themselves? I'm assuming their HP? If they are then they are DIN, which you may want to let everyone know just in case they are requesting these tanks but have yoke regs. If we can get the specs on the tanks and I can start figuring out my weighting and what plate I need to bring.

Thanks

Per Kamala's email - I would like to do the warm up dive and I would be interested in diving with seals depending on the cost and logistic. I am on Tuesday afternoons.

Hey guys, Jeff here. Please put me down for Nitrox too. Will use the boat credit. Kamala, will we be staying underwater as long as possible on each dive like Raja, since we pretty much own the boat??

I will not be arriving until 5:00 pm on the 26th.  I expect that might be too late for a warm up dive.  Not sure what time I will get to the hotel.

I will also be bringing a camera.
