I'm good with any of the reschedule dates.

Reschedule accommodating the majority. I can not commit to even October. There are too many events in my life that are subject to rescheduling that unfortunately trump dive trips. I will determine my availability closer to the dates. By the way, I have not booked my international flight yet. I may have lucked out.

Nick thank you for the update. In theory how soon would you know if Oct were feasible? Once the feds cleared all travel related issues?   TKs

Right now October is Tom and my only option.  Lufthansa says we can re-book this year with no penalty!  If we go next year we have to pay again for airfare and its times 2 for us.  What is the policy for the tour and the dive boat?  Do we get to keep the tour and dive boat and just move it to October?  Otherwise we are unsure if we will spend more money to go next year.  We have trip insurance but it says airfare is not exactly included.  Will have to see.  We have to weigh all the loses.  Next year if generally free and its more a matter of money.

I am up for May 2021 or close to it. I would rather go when the water is warm and so is the clarity. I have another trip already being rebooked for Oct.

The boat has NOT rebooked anything other than trips thru April. We are the next wave when and if that happens. There are no guarantees I can even get any of these dates but after culling their openings these are the only options. Jun is technically not an option but I will have to work hard for it if it comes to that. THIS IS ALL PROACTIVE so I can pick a date in a nono second since everyone else will be trying to do the same thing.

The land and air will transfer to this year or next. We are good there.

May is NOT an option. They are fully booked for May of 2021 The only warm water dates are the two Jun dates I listed and October. The water is warm then too!   Right now Oct is my only date the boat has authorized travel for. I am working on the June dates but they are not authorized yet.  That is why I said I had to reschedule Panama to make the Oct dates work.  Its not going to be pretty.

What a great question. We are focusing on setting firmer dates in mid April. I have some family events that are being moved for the pandemic as well so I have to see where they end up! I will let you know as soon as it becomes clear(er). I want to go to Egypt and see fishies and pyramidies!

Sept and Oct are very busy months for me at work. If I can reschedule to Oct it would have to be the end of Oct, not early Oct.

The first two Options below work best for me. 

 

1) Oct 1-8 with the tour before so would start flying Sept 23 - Oct 9, 2020. 

2) Or put the tour after the diving so Sept 28- Oct 14.

 

The 30 October date would not work well for me.  I leave for another Trip on 31 October which would make recovery from the long flight a bit of a problem.

For the latest set of dates I see Option A) 10/14- 10/30 B) 10/22-11/7 and C) 9/23-10/8

 

Tom and my first choice is A) 10/14-10/30.  I checked Lufthansa and all the flights are either the same or cheaper than what we have now.  Any are good for us and we will go with what is best for the group.  The sooner to re-book the flights the better to get better choices.  I think all airlines will be cheap for awhile.

 

Dates to keep in mind is that Columbus Day is October 12 and Election Day is 11/10! September/October are good temperature months for sight seeing and diving so it will actually be better than May.  September can be 102 at Luxor still and November it gets to 77F.  Big changes in temperature from September to November.
