So while many people were able to do some self and business improvement during cv19 ... we spent almost all our time helping members deal with trips being delayed, rebooked, cancelled etc. And its still ongoing.

 

However in the last week or so several new members have not only told us that they were confused by how to figure the site out...or find something....but they said something that triggered ACTUAL SOLUTIONS to the struggles they were having.

 

And since some of the trip/travel nightmares are coming to an end that frees me up to work on some MUCH NEEDED streamlining and simplifying that we need and would love to do.

 

So we'd love for ALL members to share how we can do some SIMPLIFYING and STREAMLINING and TELL OUR STORY BETTER as well as WHAT TO EXPECT and HOW TO BOOK A TRIP WITH US and more.

 

And NEW MEMBERS....please keep sharing your experiences thru the eyes of someone who doesn't know us and well truthfully can't quite figure it all out.

 

We need this insight to make things easier and I am ready to get it done!

Feedback from Tome aka TickleDiver to another new member of the club. Basically she is suggesting forum streamlining and simplifying. Ironically Darrin aka ScubaVision said something similar last night on the phone that included:

 

• How to Book a Trip on the main menu drop downs on homepage
• Maybe a Read First if New Member or Seeking to Know what SD.com is
• Maybe re-organize the forums to show Current Or Active Forums on top and Older or Inactive Forums below.

 

Tome has keyed in on the forum's simplification and has even identified the topics she thinks are worth keeping in the current category and by default moving the rest to the non current category. Anyone else think this will help?

 

Or something else? Please post and share your ideas or just reaffirm if you like what others have suggested.

Welcome to the forums! What a great stumble you made to find this place.

 

I know there are bunch of different areas, and that can be overwhelming. I'm on a mission to fire up the forums again, so please let me share with you some of the spots I am watching and posting and would love to hear from you, along with trips:

 

The Safety Stop - THE Stop for Newer Divers - New or old, feel free to ask or answer a question! 

 

Dive Training - Have a question regarding training or courses you should consider? Want to do more? Did you know there is more than one training organization? Is there a difference? 

 

Dive Related Learning Lessons - Not so active, but some great old conversations.

Aw...thanks for that shout out - I know there are several other focus on, but I wanted to highlight areas that were starting to see more activity. Was just kindling (Get it? I'm trying to fire up the forums! )

 

I am definitely for streamlining (both my dive gear and the forums!).

We are getting some great insight from new members trying to figure everything out. It really helps to give me perspective. They are quite kind telling me how much info we have. Loosely translated that means what others have said...we've grown too gangly for our own good and need some trimming back and thinning out and streamlining.
