I'm looking at my options and this is what I'm leaning toward:
Fly into RDU on the 21st, rent a car, drive to Morehead City, then back on the 26th.
Depending on flights I may stay a night near RDU on the way back then home the next day.
I just added this to the travel notes:
NOTE: If flying out of RDU you can safely leave Moorhead/Atlantic Beach around 11 am or even 10:30 am ON THE 26th get early lunch in Goldsboro at our FAV BBQ sandwich place Wilbers and then drive to the airport arriving around 3 stopping for lunch and allowing for some traffic. You can drop a car and still make a flight EASILY at 6 or 7 or even earlier. It is 3-4 hrs from ABeach to RDU so flying the same day as leaving for the airport is EASY especially going WEST.
