Hi! I am Carrie from Texas...you can call me FancyFins. Love the water, but recently found myself without a dive partner. Hope to take advantage of this site and get in the water.

Hello Carrie, and welcome to a wonderful group of people.  Your situation is very much what Kamala started this group for.  People that want to go on dive trips, but do not have a dive buddy to room and dive with.  Instead of having to pay a single supplement, and get matched up with a random dive buddy, everyone fills out a questionnaire and compatible roommates and dive buddies are set up for each trip.  I have joined many trips and have been happy with my roommate and dive buddy on all of them.  Everyone is very helpful and respectful of others, because we are all here for the same reason.  Dive, dive, dive.  Ed

  Carrie and    to the fabulous world of Singledivers.com.  Love your screen name!  As Ed said, Kamala and crew put on the best dive trips to really fun destinations.  I have been on many trips and have had great roommates and dive buddies.  Please check out our trips and hope you are on one soon.  Roatan and Dominica are great destinations for lots of warm water fun!!

Hello Carrie, we see you managed the introduction topic just fine which bodes well for navigating the original Forums; it is such a treasure trove of diving information, memories and friends waiting to be met Kamala decided we could not let it go when the New Home Page was under development.

 

There are several great icebreaker "first time" SingleDivers.com trips still available in 2021, we hope you are able to join and start your fresh scuba adventures chapter with a terrific group of safe, fun, buddyless divers. We were all there once, which is why we are all here now!

Hi Carrie, I too hope to find new dive buddies at SD.  Covid really has put a crimp in so many things, dive destinations being one of them.  SD looks like just the answer to getting back in the water for those of us without dive partners.  Let the fun begin !!!

Hi Carrie...I'm just getting back from a truly amazing trip to DOMINICA!!!   I'm thrilled we are returning in May & Jun of 2022!  While all skill levels are acceptable in Dominica...the truly most iconic sites are those on the Atlantic side so we require that you have some Texas Flower Garden types skills...or South Florida Drift diving skills and comfort with managing current or mooring line ascents and descents. Plus being a savvy traveler comes in handy diving someplace that still looks like the Caribbean did... 50 years ago!!!
