New OWD up in Wisconsin. Took my 2 sons and myself for certification in Madison, WI in June. Just finished putting together a full kit and looking forward to finding some dive buddies and chances to gain some experience.
Originally from NC so the coastal wrecks have always been a goal of mine.

Welcome to the most amazing sport/pastime on the PLANET!! We 
NC diving and its a pinnacle dive bucket dive for sure. We offer trips to NC every other year but its a venue you'll need to rack up some experience and additional training. But what a great goal to have as you enjoy the new journey you and your sons have embarked upon!

That's the plan!!
I might not be ready for the wreck trip in 2022 but I'll 100% be down for Dominica or Cozumel in June/July. Just waiting for the FY to changeover in October so we can get our 2022 schedules!

So here is how we do the NC diving.... 21 and 23 are general trips meaning 18 people on the boat (not its not crowded as it a pretty large boat) and we do the traditional wrecks of NC. This is a bucket list trip for sure.
On the alternate years starting in 2022 we are going to take 7 lucky advanced divers and go and dive on wrecks that are NOT ON THE MAP but are coordinates known only to fishermen and/or savvy boat capts. If 22 goes well doing this as our inaugural trip then we will add this to our 2024 calendar and allow this cycle to run until we no longer have people interested in our NC trips! Hard to believe right but yeah...it happens.

Welcome! Wrecks are AWESOME, but EVEN BETTER when you have dialed in your buoyancy, fin control, and confidence underwater. It's really smart of you to recognize that it requires experience-- not all divers recognize that kind of thing! If you're looking for dive buddies, I don't think you'll have a problem: it sounds like you are an awesome buddy already (knowing your limits is the #1 thing in a good dive buddy).

to the fabulous world of diving!!! Singledivers.com is a great place to get experience and have great dive buddy's. Kamala and crew put on wonderous trips to fabulous destinations. Cozy and Dominica are really good for fun diving and getting experience. Hope you are on a trip soon. Diving with your sons will be a great family adventure.
