WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR:
Since policies regarding covid are fluid we will use this topic to advise of any covid protocols we will need to adhere too. Many of the states no longer have mask mandates nor vax mandates and Florida is one of those states. However individual operators *may* have some requirements we must follow so we will let you know.
MORE COMING SOON:
My hope is that by Feb we will no longer be worried about this topic.
Jan 8, 2022 Update:
As of now many states are experiencing higher than average covid outbreaks due to Omicron which is far more contagious but fortunately far more manageable, presenting more like a cold vs a severe flu. We expect a higher than normal number of private rooms to offset this. The weather will be crisp in FL (that is Northerner language for very comfortable and hardly feeling like winter at all) so being outdoors as much as we will be should mitigate most of your exposure. In the past few months Florida has had one of the lowest covid rates in the country after a higher than expected season before that. In otherwords it is believed that Fl has basically reached herd immunity as evidenced by higher than normal tourist rates ....many of whom are from cold weather states typically fleeing the snow and cold this time of year.
We expect divers to do whatever makes them feel safe ... and we will abide by any covid protocols in place by various operators but we expect this trip to be safe and free of any significant issues.
