Yes Nov is the 'green season' aka part of the rainy season however it is also some great diving and a great value as well. And yes last Nov was unusually bad...I have friends who live on the island so they can attest to it. However that is not usual for the island. I'd still be game if this works out...but then I've been known to attempt an adventure or two...try throwing a bunch of trips together for single and buddyless divers...committing to hotels/resorts and boats for a minimum number of spots that you will pay for regardless of how many show up and trying to guess where people will want to go diving...now that's an adventure!

Average rainfall for November is 3.6 inches. We get that on a rainy afternoon.

Hey gang...we have not ruled out Bonaire for June either...in fact I hope to hear one way or the other by early next week so we can promote the trip either in June or in November! -ww

One good thing about SD...if you can't make one trip...there is ALWAYS another one to make!!!

Ummm, you might want to re-think Bonaire in November. I was just there last November, and the rain absolutely *trashed* the diving. The first week wasn't too bad, the second week was biblical at times.... bad enough to close the island for a couple of days (freak tropical storm, admittedly).

Rainy season is October through early January on average.

If I were traveling alone or with a friend or two, it would suck to get rained out. But with enough "singles" to fill five resorts, the prospect of being rained out and "forced" to hang out in the bar doesn't sound so bad....

This sounds like a rockin' good time, and you can count me in for what might be my first SD.com trip (if I don't get to go on one sooner than November). I look forward to hearing more details about this.

And like someone else said, don't even solicit our opinion on this idea. It's a priceless business opportunity that you just can't pass up.

I can't imagine it would be difficult to get 40 people on this trip, as fun as it sounds (in addition to the fun of the destination itself). I could probably wrangle a friend or two to come with me.

Don't forget that if you partner with Scuba Diving mag on this, you'll get lots o' publicity between now and November, and thus probably lots of new members, some of whom will probably help fill out the group of 40.

Where are you at now in terms of numbers of people who have indicated their interest?
