We would be at one resort but there would be 5 resorts involved!

Tell us how the other 4 would be involved. This sounds intriguing

There would be 5 resorts involved offering singles week in Bonaire. We would choose one of the resorts to be 'our' host hotel. Scubadiving magazine would use our crediability to help sell the idea of a singles week and we would be a co-sponsor of sorts. We would provide marketing ideas on how to roll the event out and how to organize events etc. In exchange we'll receive all the exposure that the event will yield and we should end up with a lot of new members. We will need them too as SD.com will need to have at least 40+ people attend directly under our banner and not via one of the other resorts. It will be similar to Dive Festival held in June in Bonaire but Singles Week instead. And thanks to us they will also target 'buddyless' divers which means that we may help the industry coin a new term while we are at it! That would rock! -ww

Would they be willing to pony up some serious discounts to encourage participation? :cool1:

Usually they offer lots of prizes for participation and very reasonable rates to encourage particpation. We'll have a good deal of course! :teeth:

It sounds FABULOUS but it's so close to a few other great trips. You can hardly pass up the deal, but I don't know if I could do both Grenada and Bonaire (and Bonaire is starting to sound incredibly tempting!). Will have to see cost and airfare.

Yes that is the worst part of the whole thing....timing...timing....timing! That part really sucks! -ww

Pay for Grenada now and save for Bonaire.

Am I the only one who hasnt seen the DEAL yet?? Did I miss something??? Having been to Bonaire like many others...I would like to see the numbers. I know that might not be a popular position....but I have to pick and chose my trips based on very limited time off and funds.

We have not posted numbers yet...merely posted the idea of doing a singles trip promotion with ScubaDiving Magazine that would reach beyond our own group. The pricing should be very good as Nov is a low season for tourists but right now I can't tell you how much it will be yet. I'll try to get some numbers for everyone...however they will be preliminary. -ww

Sounds like a great opportunity! Great exposure for SD and a great way to get new members. Bonaire is on my list so I'll be there for sure.

Lets see, June or November.

I hate decisions.

OK, how about both, June and November?

Hmm...now you are scaring me! LOL!!! I don't think with our current member size we can do both...at least not yet....cuz if we do the Nov deal we'll need at least 40+ people if not more and the largest group we've had so far is 32.

However if we don't do Bonaire in June...we can do Cozy again or look at Curacao or someplace else! -ww

Bonaire is one of my favorites. It was my first ocean diving experience in 1985. :o

I'm in, if we go to Bonaire in November. Summer is too difficult for me to get away.

Then, Cozumel over New Year's. :welcome: These trips will be a great way to wrap up 2005!

Ummm, you might want to re-think Bonaire in November. I was just there last November, and the rain absolutely *trashed* the diving. The first week wasn't too bad, the second week was biblical at times.... bad enough to close the island for a couple of days (freak tropical storm, admittedly).

Rainy season is October through early January on average, see the link at

http://www.bonaire-t...her/index.shtml

I'd pass on Curacao for a number of reasons.
