Howdy,

As suggested I'm posting a brief introduction after recently joining SD.

I started diving WAY back in 1996, took very long break until a few years ago when my daughter got into diving and that brought me back, thank goodness.

I was born and raised in Texas, moved around for my career and landed in Alaska in 2008 and have been here ever since. I did my updated OW certification in Resurrection Bay, complete with drysuit but prefer warm water for sure! Repeated my AOW in Maui this year. In total I've logged about 75 dives including 3 weeks in Australia long ago...

My daughter is now in university so I find myself buddy-less and able to travel so I am very much looking forward to connecting with other divers and joining you all on new adventures.

Hey Mike... :welcome: We are so glad you found us! We have a TON of trips so you found a good group to go diving with!

So what part of Texas? SingleDivers.com was BORN in Dallas in 2004.

I've actually been intrigued about diving in Alaska... I guess there is a place you can shore dive that is loaded up with cool things left over from the old paddle boat days. But the cold gets to me although I own a seriously warm dry suit and can still dive it!

It has to be the right 'cold' venue for me to break down and dive it these days...I just freeze so easily otherwise!
