Hello to all. Its been a wild ride and the rodeo is still not over but hopefully soon. :(

To help everyone understand where each of our trips stand related to covid we are creating a special topic that will be linked to the main trip details topic #1 and will provide periodic updates as we have them. If you know information or have information related to the country or our provider PLEASE email kamala@singledivers.com so I can assess and add to our running list of important updates. :thankyou: and :respect:

REVISED CUBA TESTING REQUIREMENTS as of Apr 1, 2022:

Cuba is just opening up and covid requirements will change yet again effective April 1 or possibly as late as April 15. Since this trip is in 2023 we will NOT post the current requirements because they are changing quite substantially.

Once the new updates have been made we will update this up until trip time.

Testing requirements for AMERICANS Traveling to CUBA:

 Being updated.

CUBA RE-OPENING & COVID POLICIES:

  1. SPECIFIC COVID POLICIES ARE EVOLVING and will be posted as fully established and/or as they change to reflect the ongoing nature of the pandemic. In general they pertain to cleanliness procedures around the island and dive operation, mask wearing protocols on and off hotel property and social distancing requirements on and off property.

INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO THE CDC'S US RESIDENT TESTING TO RETURN TO THE US:

  1. On Dec 6, 2021 the CDC and the US Govt reduced the travel window to 24 hrs for negative testing. You can do an Antigen aka "rapid test" or a "PCR" test to return home to the US. NOTE: If traveling via other countries you must follow their ENTRY requirements and fill out any forms they require as well as produce a negative PCR test in the timelines they require. Be sure to check this closely to avoid travel issues.
  2. On Jan 12th, 2021 the CDC announced that starting Jan 26th anyone entering the US must pass either a rapid/antigen test or a PCR test within 72 hrs of travel to the US and produce a 'negative' result.

Since this is an evolving matter we will keep you updated as we learn more and/or procedures evolve. :thankyou:

INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO SINGLEDIVERS.COM'S MAY/JUN 2023 TRIP:

  1. Currently at the time of opening this trip an overnight stay is required in Havana since nearly all airports are still closed other Havana. If this continues we will set up a 1 night stay in Havana accordingly. Our plan is to offer a mini trip before the diving as well as after the diving. STAY TUNED!
