Hey everyone, I wanted to take a min and introduce myself. I am a 51-year-old full-time artist specializing in Caricature and pet art. www.meltonart.com located out of Kannapolis, NC . I was certified in 1999 while living in Myrtle Beach, SC originally with a shop called SCUBA Syndrome that sadly went under and was bought out/reborn as Nu Horizons Dive and Travel which is also now no longer in business. During my time in Myrtle Beach, I traveled extensively with Nu Horizons to Crystal River during the winter months on school trips to take 5th graders to snorkel with the manatee. During that I cut my teeth on video production, shooting and editing videos of the trips to sell to the families. After moving back to NC in 2005 my diving has been off and on with life getting in the way with my last big trip being to St. Kitts in 2016.
Now I am in the process of reclaiming my health, slimming down so I can be in the best shape and safe as possible, and looking forward to more adventures with friends old and new. I am SSI AOW, Nitrox, deep, boat, and night/limited viz. certified with well over 150 dives.
I have a couple of clips and short videos on my YouTube which I hope to expand with future trips.
If I am on a trip with you, I will probably offer to interview you if wanted, but I am never pushy and will never turn a camera on someone who doesn't want me to.
