I'm thinking it is about 2 1/2 hours south. Jeandiver came from our last one from Jacksonville, she made it in about 2 hours but this spot is a little futher south. I am not planning on diving, but H20addict was asking also. I know a number of folks from the board have been diving in the springs north of here. Hopefully they will pipe in.

Now that's the way to follow up a HH... with a day of quality diving. I thought about that for the HHH, but our choices are "THE Reef" a.k.a. "The Pit", Twin Lakes, Lost Lake, The golf course, or "Blue Lagoon" if it's open.... nah, just the party! And "The Reef, a.k.a. The Pit" is closed until further notice too... Just isn't much diving around Houston in the winter! Enjoy the HH in Florida... and DO follow up with a dive day. That's the way to do it!!!

I think a better way would be to have a day of diving and then the HH. Unfortunately other than Disney Epcot Living Seas there isn't any diving in Orlando. All my FL diving is done south of here. Any suggestions from the Central Floridians will be considered in the future.

I think Jeff (Handygeek) and I will be coming, although we will certainly be late. Can't imagine we will be there before 7:00, but we'll try. Maybe I-4 will be unusually kind to us on a Friday night (not likely, but it could happen!).

See you!

Hey Folks,

I am sorry to report that I will likely not make it this evening as I had hoped. I have come down with a bit of Tonsillitous and its my second bout with it since December. Looks like they may have to come out. Anyhow, I don't want to get anyone sick, so I think I am going to stay in quarantine.

Have a great time, and NextAriel I will definitely make the next one and I hope its soon!!!

By the way, I am dying to do the EPCOT dive... So if any of you Central Floridians are interested in doing it, let me know.

Ari

Well, can't say we had the turn out they did in Houston. The group that was there was great and I think everyone had a good time. Played trivia and most were able to contribute we won 4 times I think. Can't say I was much help, except at giving the wrong answer. Here are the first to arrive. Dive Candy - Kerry, Adelie, ScubaWes1 - Wesley, Donna, Nextariel - Jill, Don

Hope you are feeling better! Sorry you missed it. You could have met Dive Candy who is also going to Fiji. Plans are in the works for the next one, only with a little twist.
