• 8 Days/7 Nights in large Hill Tribe Chalet.  Chalet is 31 feet by 34 feet.
• Breakfast and Dinner Daily at the lodge.  Lunch is usually packed to go as we will be out touring Thailand.
• The property features a lake, sacred tree. clubhouse, garden and camp fire area.

NOTE: Typically we can not guarantee specific rooms can be reserved for you. You are free to request any thing you want via our reservation system and we will try to get them for you but we can not guarantee any special requests can be accommodated other than those related to injuries, diets, etc. We allow roommates to determine amongst themselves who sleeps where.  Our policy has always been to allow divers to work it out themselves and NOT assign or allow people to sign up for specific bunks/beds.  Please do not book this trip if you must have a specific room/ or rooming accommodations. AIRPORT INFO AND LOGISTICS 

 

GETTING TO Thailand

 

Turkish Air, Etihad Air, Emirates Air, Singapore Air and Qatar Air are regular airlines that fly from major hubs to Phuket and Bangkok.  It is usually far more affordable to book flights from a major hub such as JFK, MIA, LAX, etc... to Phuket ( HKT ) or Bangkok ( BKK ), and then book a domestic flight from your home city to the hub.  There are several flights that depart Bangkok BKK between 6am and noon that will get you to Chiang Mai prior to the 4pm shuttle departure FROM OUTSIDE AFTER CLEARING CUSTOMS AND COLLECTING BAGS.   

 

PRO TIPS:

• You can fly from a major U.S. hub to either Bangkok ( BKK ) or Phuket ( HKT ). 
• It is often more affordable to book one ticket from your home airport to a major hub if you do not live near a hub.  (Be sure to allow enough time to collect your bags to rebook them and then go thru TSA again and get to your gate ie at least 3 hrs)
• Then book a separate ticket from the hub to your destination and back. 
• For this trip, we will most likely be flying out of JFK, MIA, LAX, ORD or SEA, and flying into either Bangkok ( BKK ) or Phuket ( HKT ). 
• Flights from the U.S. to Bangkok are less that flights to Phuket and flights from Bangkok to Chiang Mai are also cheaper than flights from Phuket to Chiang Mai, so flying from the U.S. to Bangkok is why we've made it the group flight option.  

 

IF YOU ARE DELAYED 

• Email trips@singledivers.com with DELAYED REROUTE TO CHAING MAI in the subject line and text 864-557-6079.  I will keep the hotel apprised of your arrival time to arrange a pick up.  If you miss the 4pm transfer, you will need to pay for the 90 minute transfer privately which is quite costly. 

 

GETTING TO CHAING MAI FROM BANGKOK (or Phuket)

• You will fly into Chiang Mai airport ( CNX ) on Mar 21, 2026 where someone from Aggressor Chaing Mai Lodge will pick us up at 4pm. 
• International flights can go into Bangkok ( BKK ) or Phuket ( HKT ).
• We suggest you arrive in BKK (the group entry point) for 1-3 days prior in order to be sure you arrive timely, get your luggage and do not miss the in country flight to Chaing Mai.
• We will have a group hotel in BKK to keep everyone together and safe. You will be able to do some touring and sight seeing from the group hotel. (Info coming shortly)
• Once in either BKK or HKT you will then fly domestic to Chiang Mai (CNX). 
• We suggest VietJet air https://th.vietjetair.com/ as the recommended domestic carrier and we suggest you book these flights yourself as they are quite easy to book directly. 
• The group flight FROM BKK is the 12:10 arriving at 1:35 pm Please try to book this flight. The alternate is 9:55am arriving at 11:15 am or 6:00 am arriving 7:30 am (There is a 'last resort option only' that is 1:50pm arriving at 3:10 but it cuts it very close for getting the transfer to the lodge. A private transfer is VERY COSTLY so please try to book either the 12:10 or 9:55 or 6:00 am flights leaving the less reliable 1:50 as your 'last resort option only')
• If flying from HKT (Phuket) there is one flight from Phuket HKT to Chiang Mai that will arriving in time for the lodge transfer which departs 8:10 am arriving 10:15.
• On Saturday March 21, we fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai ( CNX ).  For luggage allowances, Vietjet Air is the best option.  They offer a flight from Bangkok to Chaing Mai about every 2 hours, starting with their 6:10 am departure.  The flight is 1 hour and 20 minutes long.  They offer 3 different cost options.  SkyBOSS is currently $140-210, Deluxe is $53, and Eco is $29.  SkyBoss allows 10kg carry on, 30kg checked bag, priority check in, baggage handling and priority seating on the plane.  Deluxe allows 7kg carry on and 20kg checked luggage.  You can select seats that are net for business class or SkyBOSS class.  Eco only allows 7kg of carry on luggage and no checked luggage so that does not seem to be an option.  Their web site says that there is an option to pre-purchase additional luggage allowance, but it is not clear if that is a second bag or just additional weight allowance. 

PRO TIP: I have purchased the SkyBOSS class of ticket for the maximum amount of luggage and priority check in to ensure that my bags make the plane. 

 

 

TRANSFERS TO THE LODGE AND THEN TO THE BOAT:

 

Airport transfers on the day of embarkation and disembarkation are included in your package. Please get your bags and go outside to look for the driver in order to make the 4pm shuttle departure FROM OUTSIDE AFTER CLEARING CUSTOMS AND COLLECTING BAGS.   The driver will have a SINGLEDIVERS.COM Sign and/or Aggressor Chiang Mai sign Your name will be on his list and he will not want to leave if you are expected at a certain time. (THIS IS WHY WE MUST HAVE YOUR FLIGHTS TO SET UP THE TRANSFERS) 

 

 

GETTING FROM CHIANG MAI TO PHUKET TO MEET THE BOAT:

 

• For the flight out of Chiang Mai on March 28, we will fly from CNX to Phuket ( HKT ) as that is where the boat will pick us up. 
• They only offer one flight that arrives in time and it departs at 10:50 am arriving at 12:50 .  The SkyBOSS ticket is $350 as of today and the Deluxe ticket is $132.  Luggage allowances are the same as arrival flights into Chaing Mai.  
• If you wish to extend your trip beyond the Chiang Mai Lodge and/or the boat, the easiest option is to spend a few days in Bangkok prior to the trip or to spend additional time in Phuket after departing the boat.  Bangkok is a vibrant bustling city with rich culture, historic sites and a wide range of shopping and dining.  Phuket is a popular island destination known for its beautiful beaches, water activities and relaxed atmosphere.

 

VISA/PASSPORT INFORMATION

 

Please note that A U.S. passport valid for at least 6-months from the date of entry is required to enter Thailand. A visa is not required unless your stay is exceeding 30 days, but tourists must provide evidence of return or onward travel.  A Thailand Digital Arrival Card must be filled out on line no more that 72 hours prior to your arrival in Thailand.  U.S. citizens are encouraged to carry a photocopy of their U.S. passports with them at all times, so that if questioned by local officials proof of identity and U.S. citizenship are readily available. For other global citizens, please review Thailand visa requirements posted on the Internet.

Insurance, Documentation & T&C's:
 
INSURANCE

TRIP Insurance is MANDATORY due to CHRONIC CRAZY TRAVEL ISSUES and/or covid, other pandemics as well as the island location and so IS required on this trip! TRIP insurance is RELATIVELY inexpensive. Even if you have insurance that you think covers your trip…it is CHEAP (approx $100-$200) to get a supplemental policy to ensure you are covered for your investment in your dive trip. If you opt to not get trip insurance you are responsible for all losses related to your trip including not going for any reason. If diving a LIVEABOARD please consider the liveaboard rider offer by DiveAssure.com.

 

PRO TIP 1: Do not get the standard policy...it really does not cover enough to be useful. Consider instead a deluxe policy OR an annual policy for a set amount that you gamble a little on knowing you won't have a catrastropic loss every trip so you'll save money AND be covered when you need it most!

 

PRO TIP 2:  Any policy is better than 'no policy' ie. 'self insuring'. We have the least number of issues with Dive Assure but most trip insurance policies will work except for the one's offered by the airlines. They only pay $200 towards a complete loss of your dive trip if they are responsible. While a nice supplemental...do not rely on this as its designed to cover the flight only.

DIVING INSURANCE:

 

DIVE Insurance is required on all trips - GET THE DELUXE POLICY! DIVE insurance is VERY inexpensive. Even if you have insurance that you think covers DIVING ACCIDENTS and air lifts…it is CHEAP (approx $100-$125) to get a supplemental policy to ensure you are covered for an entire year of diving. 

PRO TIP; The two primary suppliers of dive insurance DiveAssure.com and DAN are inexpensive enough to carry both. This way you will have the best coverage internationally, the best coverage domestically, primary insurance, secondary insurance and if a claim is denied on one policy you can submit it on the other. No matter what happens...YOU ARE COVERED!!! ... PRICELESS!!!

DOCUMENTATION
All SingleDivers.com trips require necessary documentation to facilitate booking your trip and/or making it a better experience for you.  Once you complete your documents online our automated system will take the information from your last trip with us and fill out your new trip forms for you. You then add any missing information and/or change anything that is no longer current. You will find the forms you need to complete under MY TRIPS which you will find under TRIPS in the main menu across the top of the site. Since each trip requires a unique set of docs, please choose the correct trip from your "My Trips" drop down and then complete the forms required for that trip. Some trips will also ask you to complete the resort or liveaboard's forms as well.  

The AIR AUTHORIZATION FORM is only required when you are having SingleDivers.com book air for you but this includes air that is part of the trip pkg price. 

Not all of our forms are online as they are either infrequently used or being phased out. If you need a form that is not in our online directory, send an email to trips@singledivers.com and ask for the form you need.
